You'll be needing this sail and mast!
I still have sail and mast (no boom now)
Make me an offer - it's collection/meet up only! near Foxboro MA.

I got a Retro 9.0. Very perty lookin. Seems to rig okay on my North XCellerator viper 75 mast - 28cc. Two of the battens are quite long which must be why they are two pieces. There is a slight 'wave' in the sail at both of those batten junction connection places. Not sure if i need to worry about that or not. My old Fiberspar 228 boom works okay too even though its on the last extension setting.

The sail is large! I have never had one this big. I can imagine waterstarting being impossible! But the 11'-8" WINDSUP is a Cadillac that floats so i don't plan on waterstarting.

Can't wait to test it out! Will post my findings and/or photos.

tube battens are of composite construction. rods at the tips in order to taper by grinding. this wave you refer to may be worth sharing a pic.

masts that are too soft will let the leech twist off too much or not enough. leading edge can be too full or too flat. this wave may be a symptom from too soft a last down low. typical with north. SW likes the powerx bend. stiffer down low. a pic would help diagnose.

my concern - long battens in 2 pieces ?
sounds broken and causing the "wave" in the sail
as John says - pics suggested

for what it's worth .... at 220+ pounds my sailing is:
20 kph / < 10 knots - Mistral Equipe longboard + HotSailsMaui SpeedFreak 8.5
20 kph+ ~ 12 knots - JP SLW92 + TR-4 10-oh - cambered race sail
20-40 kph/~16 knots - AHD FF 160 + TR-6 8.4(cambered) / HSM SPF 8.5

the longboard is long and narrow for glide - you SUP
the JP SLW and AHD FF are wide / 92 cm and 79 cm for early planing / take large sails and long fins for big boys like us - 160+ liters for flotation

my HSM SPF8.5 is NOT cambered for ease, light weight and great sail range. it lacks a little grunt, butt ok
