Posted 9/22/14: We are excited to report that our proposal to The Port of Arlington has been accepted and we will be installing a new weather station in an improved location. We are beginning fabrication of the mounting stand and hope to have it back up and running in 4-6 weeks. Thanks for your continued patience here.

What are the differences in the new Event Site sensor? I see that it is new, but I can't find details.

Thanks,
Dave

The new Event Site sensor is located on the USCG nav aid known as "Day Beacon 1" hence the name "Event Site DB1". This new sensor collects / updates data every 5 minutes giving us an even better picture of current winds through the Corridor.

If you log onto global.iwindsurf.com (same username / password as your iWK account) you can zoom in easily to see exactly where it is located on the Hood River sand bar.

Thanks

Best news I've heard since, "False alarm. I'm not pregnant after all".
