Team old skool , Shred Bob, Suzie Q, and myself got some in Buzzards Bay yesterday. Light on the inside but well powered, 4.7 , for me, outside. Some fairly large swells. Very gusty, 10 to 30 , but worth rigging up for.

Duxbury was very nice yesterday. Sailed with Nina and Jeff, later saw a few others sailing at the bridge. Tried the Shipyard Lane launch a local had recommended - good for rigging and if you like bumps, not good if you like flat water for speed or freestyle. The wind was very steady in the upper 20s - Nina was overpowered on 4.7, Jeff nicely powered on 5.0.
The picture is for Jerry - look what I have to do now because we did not replace the straps on the Clew-View!

boardsurfr you are in for a very long winter if you already have on gloves. it is not even close to winter yet.
Did Bayview with OutCast from 3-6.
Side on 4.7/87 quad for me 5.7/ 95 Angulo Chango OC (he would have been fine on 5.3 but only had 5.7.)
beach was loaded with el-kiters, no other wind surfers in sight.
bumpy but some nice set waves for riding euro trash kind of side on waves but warm water and fun.
PS beach scavanger found 2 gold rings day before. So beware of the gold rush in dennis.
Also there were a few seals so you know who is not to far away. Now there is no where that is safe.
Looking at horse neck for dawn on sunday. some swell and west.
If not surfing at Marconi

What can I say - my doctor says Raynaud's disease. I have cold hands and feet about 9 months a year. Did not really need the mittens yet, but decided to test them before I do need them. I was glad I did, because I had to modify them a bit.
The good news is that these palmless mittens let you grip the boom without anything between your hands and the boom (except for the thumb). It's pretty amazing, significantly better than other palmless mittens. Even without the "improvement" I made today (added velcro so the closure would work with my narrow wrists), I was happy to wear the mittens.
Funny as it may seem, I'll be wearing the same suit and mittens the entire fall and winter. I'll switch to thicker booties and add a hood and a thin inner neoprene layer. Most importantly, I'll add the tubes to my Ianovated suit. Even with my funny hands, I can sail in near-freezing air and water temperatures for hours, without pain.

Yesterday was real good in RI. Swell came in a little bigger than the day before, nice and smooth water without the wind. A few shots: 1-legged surfer killing it, Total Carnage, SuPper time

Looks warm ... Bathing suit weather where you are. I saw a guy surfing in shorts Friday, but he was shivering when he got out.
It is remarkable how warm the water is here. 66 deg 1 week ago when I was boating off of watch hill. Pretty good for early Oct.
