Thursday was the kind of day that pisses me off. iw did not call for it at all, that's what I pay the money for!!! I sailed Horseneck Wed., a fun day, but as it blew wnw into the late day Thursday, I got more angry that I missed it!!!

My gut told me that the setup was right for a good w/sw blow on Thursday (despite the forecasts and the models showing nothing). Didn't really materialize how I had hoped up here in Boston, but it certainly did down on the South coast. Hope someone got on it!

I got some Thurs. First I did mid day bolt from Boston to Hardings/Chatham...only to be caught by a bad lull at 1:30. Saw Buzzards Buoy swing to WSW 31 at 2:00 and sped over to Falmouth to join Suzie-Q for a late afternoon blast of 4.7. Some nice wind swell action. A bit of driving, but worth it. Haven't been on 4.7 since the Gorge in July!
My take on the iWindsurf Mass. forecasts: If I believed them and never followed my gut I'd never get any. They consistently under forecast 90% of the decent days around here The forecast for Thursday said "afternoon fade likely". Uh huh. They do a better job on the Gorge Forecasts (and always have an 11 a.m. update which is nice, and almost never happens for here). If they can do the Gorge, which is pretty tricky and dynamic to forecast, I don't know why they don't have a handle on here. Maybe we don't give them enough feedback to keep them on their toes. There are many more iWS/iKS members who sail the Gorge, so I'm sure there is plenty of feedback over there. I've given them lots of Mass. forecast feedback over the years but now I just don't bother.
