BUSTED Woman who voted for Trump twice pleads guilty to election fraud

Quote:
Late last month, an Iowa woman pled guilty to electoral misconduct after being accused of illegally casting two votes for Donald Trump during the 2016 election.

The Des Moines Register reports that 56-year-old Terri Lynn Rote allegedly cast a ballot during early voting in Polk County and then tried to cast a second vote at another location, prompting her arrest. Rote claimed that she voted twice because she was worried her vote for then-candidate Donald Trump would illegally be changed to favor his opponent Hillary Clinton.

In her statement to police, Rote said she believed Trump’s claims that there would be massive election “rigging.”

Statistically insignificant. But an effective talking point to disenfranchise minrities. I understand you're proud of denying people their Constitutional rights.

. Again with all the right wing set of states not one can tesiify that they can find over a handful or two a year. Not one has ever in the past 10-20 years testified under oath they have any evidence. If it was that prevelent you would have thousand and millions of convictions.

From the convictions we do have it appears there may be more right wingers than anything... time to scrub right wingers from voting without proof is your logic. .

Leader Of Voter Fraud Probe Really Doesn’t Want To Release Trump Meeting Documents

Quote:
Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach (R) continued to fight releasing documents from a meeting with President Donald Trump in November, saying that the public did not need to see them and that disclosing them would impede his ability to serve on Trump’s commission to investigate voter fraud.

Kobach, who has lent support to Trump’s claims of widespread voter fraud and exaggerated instances of it in the past, made the argument with his lawyer in a Friday court filing as part of an ongoing lawsuit brought by the American Civil Liberties Union over a Kansas law requiring people to prove their citizenship to vote. As part of the lawsuit, the ACLU is requesting a Kansas federal judge unseal documents that Kobach was photographed holding when he met with Trump in November 2016, as well as a draft amendment to federal voting law, which circulated in his office. The documents contain potential amendments to the National Voter Registration Act, a 1993 law requiring motor vehicle and some other state agencies to provide opportunities to register to vote.

The public release of the documents would be significant because Kobach is the de facto leader of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, a probe Trump convened in May to investigate election confidence. Trump and Kobach have promised a neutral investigation, but critics say the panel is an effort to substantiate Trump’s claims of widespread voter fraud and lay the groundwork for restrictive voting laws. Documents that show Kobach attempting to change federal law to impose more restrictive voting policies could substantially undermine the perception of impartiality.

A separate email made public as part of the lawsuit revealed Kobach was already working on an attempt to amend NVRA the day after Trump was elected.

Quote:
The magistrate judge also sanctioned Kobach with a $1,000 fine last month for misleading the court about the contents of the documents. In denying Kobach’s appeal of the sanctions, U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson noted Kobach had a pattern of misleading statements before the court.

the last I looked all the machines were made by right wing partisan companies. If the chinese, russians, Iranians, North Koreans, cubans, French, Syrians, jane fonda, Michael Moore had the companies that made the machines would you right wingers trust the election outcome?

I have made the challenge to any right winger that I can make a demo voting machine that under current verification methods I can steal any election. Since right wingers say it is safe then a 10 to one wager with my assets I am willing to bet 2 million. Again there is no way for you to stop me from stealing any election with present voting verification. Come on some right take me up on my bet.

A voting machine technically is so primitive that it is ridiculous. This is true with optical scan machines too.

DEFCON attendees hack US voting machines in minutes, exploit multiple vulnerabilities

Quote:
From The Hill comes one of those “we were always afraid it could be this bad” kind of stories …

Hackers at a competition in Las Vegas were able to successfully breach the software of U.S. voting machines in just 90 minutes on Friday, illuminating glaring security deficiencies in America's election infrastructure.

Tech minds at the annual "DEF CON" in Las Vegas were given physical voting machines and remote access, with the instructions of gaining access to the software.
DEFCON is an annual hacker/cybersecurity convention. The Hill’s report cites The Register, a rag I will not link to. But the report is confirmed by eWeek, which is reputable:

Security researcher Carsten Schurmann was able to get remote access to a WinVote machine in the village, that was actually used in a local election in 2014. Schurmann explained to the steady stream of media that came to ask questions that the system had an open port that allowed Windows Remote Desktop sessions.
And then there’s this:

Follow
DEFCON VotingVillage @VotingVillageDC
90 min after doors open: Complete remote control on the operating system level of the Winvote voting terminal (including election data).

This needs to be fixed, folks. The only secure, recountable mechanical voting system is the one we use in Minnesota: optical scan ballots. The ballots themselves are scanned and counted by the machine, which stores the paper ballots in a locked receptacle. The ballots can be recounted — and in Minnesota, recounts are not all that unusual. The system works and is foolproof.

Any other system is vulnerable and must be consigned to the dustbin of history.

Great petition, all states do as Oregon has with mail in votes. That is hand re-countable if need be. again even optical scan machines can be hacked. with plenty of time and time to straighten out any registration problems. great petition...

right wingers why would you be against the most important thing to a real democracy.

https://www.signherenow.org/petition/vote-by-mail/dailykos/?link_id=1&can_id=0a891e5c6da0354b939976240f0eaa98&source=email-will-you-sign-to-pass-the-vote-by-mail-act-2&email_referrer=will-you-sign-to-pass-the-vote-by-mail-act-2&email_subject=vote-by-mail-act-in-congress-take-action

Tell Congress to stop election hackers and pass the Vote by Mail Act!
Pass the Vote by Mail Act and protect our democracy from election hackers!

Quote:

Electronic voting machines can make our elections vulnerable to hackers, foreign and domestic.

We can help make elections more secure by implementing Oregon-style vote-by-mail in every state.

Vote-by-mail means physical paper ballots that can't be hacked and can be audited and recounted.

It gives voters several weeks to return their ballot, or to fix their voter registration if voter databases are hacked.

Vote-by-mail also increases turnout, reduces the impact of voter suppression laws, and puts an end to long lines on Election Day.

come on right wingers you control every branch of government you control almost all states and even Bush Rove put voter fraud as high of an issues close to terrorists. and to date not one right wing governor, sec of state has ever shown massive in person vote fraud.

again you are just liars. Born to lie.

Now I do believe massive vote fraud does occur with any type of electronic machine. after all, all of those companies will not turn over their source code. And all are partisan run owned controlled right wing companies. If you have nothing to hide why are you hiding everything. They claim it is proprietary, which is BS there is nothing proprietary of an adding machine. Any decent engineering student can write a program to count votes. Nothing proprietary about it. again just lies.

Fact Checker Analysis
Video: President Trump’s zombie claim of widespread voter fraud in the 2016 election

Quote:

In the wake of the confrontation in Charlottesville, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Aug. 24 called for President Trump to disband the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity. In a Medium post, Schumer said the actions of the commission were “wolves in sheep’s clothing” and a “ruse” designed to “revive the old playbook and disenfranchise minority voters.”

The commission was set up to investigate the president’s claim that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2016 election. The Fact Checker has repeatedly debunked this claim (here, here, here, here and here), as well as the faulty evidence that the White House has continued to use to support it.

In this video fact check, we set the record straight on the president’s claim of widespread voter fraud in the 2016 election.

again where right wingers see conspiracies everywhere again 9-11 inside job, Hillary and Bill must have done something wrong so two independent councils over a land deal they lost 60K in.

But with electronic vote fraud, they see nothing. even though at every chance hackers are allowed they can hack into any system in as little as 35 minutes, but right wingers are ok with that. That by itself is cause for alarm. But all right wingers are all for it.

Here is a saying by a right wing hero...

Quote:
Josef Stalin supposedly once said, “Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.”

and the majority of the states with contraversal vote counts are right wing controled at the state level.

Hacking Voting Machines

Any device connected to the internet can be hacked. After a Germanwings aircraft was flown into the Alps by a suicidal pilot in 2015, many people asked why ground controllers couldn’t take over control of the doomed plane to save the passengers. The answer was that doing so is absolutely possible, but flight safety officials are terrified that hackers would break into the system and cause planes to crash maliciously. Credit reporting agency EquiFax has just revealed that hackers broke into its computers and stole personal data, including social security numbers, belonging to 143 million people.

A pair of white hat hackers broke into the controls of a Jeep Grand Cherokee and took over the steering and braking systems two years ago to expose the potential danger of connected cars to motorists. A year later, after Jeep theoretically fixed the problem, the same pair did it again.

DefCon is an annual conference for hackers. This year, the organizers bought 30 electronic voting machines from all the major manufacturers and invited hackers to try to break into them. The average time to hack the machines was less than 2 hours. The record was 35 minutes. Some of the machines still use Windows XP, an operating system no longer supported by Microsoft. Danish researcher Carsten Schürmann gained remote access to one such machine within 90 minutes. He says he could hack the machine from anywhere in the world provided he had a connection to the internet.

right wingers are not interested in the truth, they just want their KGB styled commisions of lies and liars who tell them.
