I'm not sure about Cruz, buy Rand Paul may be a man of high principles. We'll see. I think the American people are looking for a leader with high principles from either party. |

I think so too.
Rand seems to share with carter an idealism that he held on no matter what.
That is a sign of integrity in my view.
Worked out badly for Carter and he was a smart guy nuclear engineer.
Paul says uniformed stuff that can make him seem like wacko, though he is not.
He also mixes up in stuff that the media loves.
Did you know the Board which certifies him as a doctor belongs to him?
He founded it with himself as Pres. and his wife as the other officer, so they could certify him?
Perfectly legal but qualified doctors don't have to do that. I probably wouldn't vote for him except in an emergency, but I sure wouldn't make a doctors appointment with him.lol

From what I understand, Senator Paul often donates his time as a physician for certain worthy causes, so I think that says a bit about his character and his dedication to his craft. Yet, he's got some questionable views about government, that for me, paints the wrong picture. That's where the bad ideas overhang the good ones. If he elects to pursue the presidency, it will put everything into a more complete focus, first initially to distinguish himself from other Republicans, and then if he wins, to form a meaningful platform to run against with his Democratic opponent. |

If you are paying attention, you can tell demagogues pretty quickly. Cruz is definitely heir apparent to Joe McCarthy. Rand Paul may be more of the real deal. His father was pretty weird, and associated with some really racist publications. Rand is more carefully, but still a little whacky. Hard to say yet that he is not principled. More interesting than most Republicans who have ambitions at the national level. |

JP...I loved the 90's.
Moved to CA, in 1990. Got into the biz in 1991. Met Mrs. Boggsman in 1995. Made my first mil in the 90's. I Loved the 90's!!! And I loved Slick Willy. I'm hoping for a repeat. I think she's sharp as a tack. Good decision maker. Knows the system cold. Moderate in her views. Unlike Obama, she's thick skinned, and can negotiate.
That's my humble opinion... |

There is only one School in the world where you can learn to be President.
It is a hands on school located in the White House.
She is the only graduate who can run for Pres.
She has said that her education at that's school has taught to do things differently next time.
I not sure I would vote for her but if Cruz runs that decision will be easy.
I hold the usual view of politicians that is common here in the most liberal state.
We vote for both Republicans and Dems, hopefully choosing the most competent even if they disagree with me on some issues.
The top pol in Maui, later elected gov was a Republican.
I used to work as a navigator.
Ever been in a big dangerous storm at sea?
Would you prefer a captain who knows little but agrees with you on every issue?
Or some crusty annoying old jerk who smells bad, but has a life time of experience? |

Nice take on them,,,,,,, geesh!
Appearing at a Boston rally for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Martha Coakley on Friday, Hillary Clinton told the crowd gathered at the Park Plaza Hotel not to listen to anybody who says that “businesses create jobs.”
“Don’t let anybody tell you it’s corporations and businesses create jobs,” Clinton said.
“You know that old theory, ‘trickle-down economics,’” she continued. “That has been tried, that has failed. It has failed rather spectacularly.”

She sounds like a total socialist!!!!
BTW, it was Reagan's tax policies that lead to the economic upturn during the Clinton administration. New tax policies take a couple of years to adequately effect the economy, nothing is instant in regards to the economy.
Boggsy, you should be thanking R.R. for your first million.
What is it with libs and bragging about their wealth anyway, Bill Clinton is famous for that, but the Hill lies about it, go figure, patronizing I guess. |

The religious views of the pundit of the Central Coast:

No facts are necessary thus no citations. Take it on faith. But the corollary reasoning--Bush's damage to the economy took a couple of years to be apparent--went right over his head. Of course slick Willy helped in signing bills that deregulated the energy and financial sectors.
What a scream. Halloween must be coming. |
