Great day in Eastern KS yesterday. I sailed Clinton lake for just over 3 hrs on a 4.8 + 87 litre RRD FSW. I hate that it's getting cold, though I had the heater on 80F all the way home and didn't start to feel warm again until I was almost home (45 min.). Here's some screen shots from my sesh:

Spock...

Forward....

Stall jibe.....

Looks like a terrific session. The water looks quite flat in the pics; was that the case or were there some good swells for those jumps? Also, how'd the landing of that loop go?

I hear yeah on the cold ... Temperatures hear are getting close to the end of my season, which makes spring seem so far away.

It was pretty choppy that day; not particularly friendly for freestyle, but the GoPro flattens everything out like crazy. That's just how they are (I don't mind).
That forward I landed kinda on my butt and popped back up. It might look like the nose of the board going to auger in, but the view is mostly down the axis of rotation. All the ramps here, and I mean ALL the ramps are upwind. It's pretty hard to pull a forward from an upwind launch off a 3' piece of chop.
I have to say: using the GoPro with the mast mount has really helped with my sailing. I can look at the footage later and see what I need to work on, and for me, what I'm doing right, because I'm relentlessly self-critical. So, after review, I'm not all "everything sucks!....might as well go eat worms....again...." I was actually pretty frustrated with this session, until I watched the footage. Now it'll probably be a couple weeks until I get to practice again, or.....the lakes will freeze and I'll have to wait until spring. Rolling Eyes

I used to live in Texas....that's where all the outlaws go. Jonny-Law can have my free style fin when he can pry it from my cold, dead, powerbox.
