I weigh 210 and I use two different boards from 13 to 20.

At the lower end 12-15 I use an old Formula board, which is narrower and longer than modern formula boards at 270 x 85 wide. I use it with 8.5 and 7.5 sails. In this range, it gets up and planes quickly, and I can go faster than the wind, which is pretty cool.

When the wind becomes more substantial, I use the 7.5 and a 6.5 on a 122 liter freemove board (RRD Firemove V2). These are my favorite conditions.

I can water start and make more than 1/2 of my jibes. Water starting is critical if you want to have fun when the wind gets around 20 - 25.

The Ultra sonic and JP Super light wind might be more technical to sail because of the shorter length. I would be looking for something a bit longer and not quite so wide - which would have a better range for learning, and something with around 140 - 145 liters. Maybe a Techno. Maybe a Go Board. Maybe even a new Gecko in one of the larger sizes. I used an F2 Xantos in that range and it was fine.

Buy used because once you get the hang of it, and waterstart, you will want something lighter and smaller to really enjoy 15 - 20 or more. Or, take a flier on a new freemove board with more volume (say 145 or so), which will be a "light wind" planing board when you also acquire a free ride board of 125 liters or so.
