A record of vengeance for Christie?

Pretty amusing comment in light of the last clown standing. You can shake those pom poms for Republican governor also rans now.

Trump and Christie met in 2002, when Christie was the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey. Christie has frequently said he’s been friends with Trump since then.

After Christie dropped his bid for this year’s Republican presidential nomination, he was named chairman of Trump’s presidential transition team. Christie will accompany Trump to a national security briefing in New York on Wednesday.

Trump contributed $350,000 to the Republican Governors Association in 2014, a donation made at Christie’s request, Trump has said.

Now come on, mrgybe touted the credentials of governors such as Christie. Could it have been because of the sweetheart deals for oligarchs and Pig Oil? Let's obsess about Hillary's e-mails. A scene right out of the Wizard of Ooze.

does this mean if trump is elected we can all only pay 20% of our taxes? and claim we are the best businessmen in the world too.

wasn't this a payoff to christie?

I believe a spcial prosecutor needs to be involved here. Again we got one over a land deal where Clinton lost was it $70,000.00 dollars.

barely a peep in the media about this theft of 25 million in money collected by trump and not paid of taxpayers money. and christie giving it away. what a donation made, how much did trump donate to Chrisie?

and you wonder why christie was in the running for VP... a 25 million dollar donation buys that in the right wing party.

Donald Trump Gave Cash To Chris Christie Group Before And After New Jersey Casino Settlement
Quote:
For years, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has faced questions about whether he has unduly rewarded energy and investment industry donors with state government favors. Now the spotlight has turned to another major donor who appears to have been treated well by Christie's administration: Donald Trump.

According to a report Wednesday in the New York Times, Trump casinos saw their tax bill reduced by roughly $25 million, when the Christie administration agreed to settle a longstanding lawsuit over back taxes for pennies on the dollar. Christie's predecessors had taken Trump's empire to court, alleging it owed nearly $30 million in unpaid taxes and interest — but after Christie came into office, state officials agreed to drop the case in exchange for just $5 million, according to the newspaper.

The 2011 settlement followed Trump pumping $170,000 into the Republican Governors Association — which backed Christie's election campaign — in 2009 and 2010, according to data compiled by PoliticalMoneyLine.com. That was part of the total $620,000 he would end up giving to the group, which was ultimately chaired by Christie in 2014.

The disclosure that Christie's administration settled a lawsuit against a major RGA donor come a little more than a year after the Christie administration similarly settled a landmark state lawsuit against ExxonMobil for pennies on the dollar. That case, which was initiated in 2004 by Democrat and then-Gov. James McGreevey, initially sought $8.9 billion for environmental damage to 1,500 acres of waterfront acres and meadows. Christie’s administration settled the suit for just $250 million — a sum that International Business Times calculated could be raised by the company in about five hours, based on the company’s 2014 revenues.

The settlement followed a wave of ExxonMobil campaign donations to the RGA. In total, ExxonMobil gave $1.9 million to that group since Christie first ran for governor in 2009 and early last year. That includes $79,000 during his initial campaign, $200,000 during his reelection campaign in 2013 and $500,000 when he was chairman of the RGA in 2014.

NEWARK - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is not charged with any wrongdoing in the criminal case involving the closure of traffic lanes on the world’s busiest bridge three years ago. Yet his presence looms large over next month’s trial of two former subordinates.

The Republican governor, who currently serves as a close adviser to GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, could play a bigger role if he takes the witness stand.

Defense attorneys for Bridget Kelly, Christie’s former deputy chief of staff, and Bill Baroni, a top Christie appointee to the agency that operates the George Washington Bridge linking New Jersey and New York City, have danced around the issue of whether they will subpoena Christie.

Any one of the governors would be qualified said some fool:

Quote:
A federal prosecutor told jurors Monday that a witness will testify that Republican Gov. Chris Christie was told about a plan to close traffic lanes near the George Washington Bridge as it was happening, a claim he has contested for years.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Vikas Khanna made the revelation in opening statements at the trial of Bill Baroni and Bridget Kelly, two former allies of Christie. Baroni was a top Christie appointee to Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the bridge, and Kelly was Christie's deputy chief of staff.

The trial comes three years after gridlock paralyzed a New Jersey town next to the busy bridge for four days. Prosecutors say it was a criminal conspiracy cooked up by Baroni and Kelly to punish Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich out of political revenge.

Khanna told jurors that David Wildstein, another Port Authority official, will testify he and Baroni made Christie aware of the plan during a 9/11 memorial in New York City in 2013, three days after the gridlock started.

Lets see if Christie goes on record to rebut this. Is it clear enough or is Christie going to get indicted soon so he is going to shut his lying mouth now.

as we know he is a big mouth , so he should call it a lie. Then it will be his word vs someone testifying under oath.

From what I understand Christie did not refute the allegation this federal prosecutor made.

and Christie is a paid Trump advisor?????

what a circle jerk it is, several so called wife beaters, a sex slave blackmailer, and this abuse of power that may have resulted in people dying because their ambulance was not able to cross town because of shutting down the bridge lanes.

And this makes Christie guilty of what?

next paragraph... for those of us who can read. I guess you did not get it they are on trial for real crimes. But we can take it from your post that you believe doing something like this is just how right wingers live and operate.

Prosecutors say it was a criminal conspiracy
