From today's WSJ...

"New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo suffered a serious political setback this week when federal prosecutors charged his former top aide and eight others connected to him with participating in a bribery scheme that exploited his administration for personal gain.

Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan who brought the case, has described Albany as a “cauldron of corruption,” and his office has brought corruption charges against a dozen state lawmakers since 2009. The majority of those cases, including last year’s prosecutions of the leaders of both chambers of the Legislature, ended in convictions
."

The press will probably be less relentless in their coverage of this story since it is no where near as "aggregious" as a traffic jam.

It is no secret that Albany is corrupt. I would not be surprised to see Cuomo fall. Does that get your panties wet?

does not even sound the same... We now know Christie knew his guys were breaking the law and lied and covered up for them. Tried to make this not an issue to be investigated. and as a former federal prosecutor did nothing but lie. This one is the opposite.. he is hoping justice will be done.

Using a government position to harm another mayor of a city is a crime. Specially when it put people in harms way. Christie knows it.

Quote:

Cuomo said if the allegations turn out to be correct, "justice will be done, and they will pay the price."

"I'm the former attorney general," he said. "I put people in jail. Public trust is job one."

A predictably vulgar response from the 5th grade substitute teacher. I wonder if the parents would be comfortable if they knew their children are being mentored by someone who so routinely resorts to crude language.

Never an objection to terms like "douchebag" if it comes from a conservative. Never an objection to a racist or misogynist slur. What a piece of work.

traffic jam convictions so far... right winger.

Quote:

Wildstein pleaded guilty in federal district court in Newark, New Jersey to two counts of conspiracy—one count of conspiracy to misapply property of the Port Authority and one count of conspiracy to violate the civil rights of Fort Lee residents in the September 2013 lane closings—as part of a plea agreement with federal prosecutors
