As I and others do every once in a while here or directly to iW AS PER THEIR REQUEST IN THEIR OWN POSTING RULES, I opened a thread in an attempt to make a dent in the worst problem this entire forum faces: false personal attacks. As iW has so clearly and repeatedly demonstrated, they lack the maturity to face their problem openly and instead eradicated the thread and all traces. I have no idea how badly or quickly the thread went south, as I hadn't gotten back to it since starting it. Its purpose was to elevate the topic to a mature discussion among adults with SOME possibility of making a dent in the problem, but just as they've always done when people have filed formal complaints about it under iW's own posting rules, they try to hide the problem rather than help solve it. All lip service, no cooperation. I hope no one put as much effort into responding to it as I put into initiating it AS iW REQUESTED and in the appropriate subforum. |

Funny how people that launch ad hominem attacks always see themselves as the victims. |

If I were, the libel would stop overnight. They once suggested that I join their moderator crew, but my days don't have 40 hours. |

isobars, you went on quite a rant in that earlier thread.
No doubt, it was really out of character outside of the Off Topic side of the forum, so it doesn't surprise me that it was quickly eliminated. |

Show us one of my ad hominem attacks, mac. Good luck, since the term has evolved to include false or irrelevant personal attacks. I've explained many times why mine are neither.
I know it's asking a lot, Chandler, but if you'd actually read my rant, you'd have seen that very early on it justified my posting it in the WSing subthread thusly: "It suits the Windsurfing subforum best, because the problem spoils the entire iW forum, thus shouldn't be confined to one regional subforum or the narrow toilet bowl of off-topic refuse so few people read." |

I can't figure out which is funnier--that he admits that he peeked, or that he really believes he is not the master of ad hominem attacks. |

Yes, here is a classic, promoting physical violence ala Maddy:

Wonder if the 3 Stooges and Iso (collectively the 4 Horsemen) will refuse the $1,000 stimulus funds? Accepting money for nothing from the government sure sounds like the Republican definition of socialism. Got hypocrisy? Rolling Eyes
Why does your presumption not surprise me?
Hell, no, we're not refusing the freebie. We're licking our lips over our (now) $4,000 check, and had already planned to cash it, ask for the amount in $10 or $20 bills, and spread them around to people who may actually need them, such as restaurant servers and others who may actually be affected fiscally by CV. (We are not. Our only negative CV impact so far is that we may have to put down a sweet dog only because veterinary services are getting cut way back.)
I find it heartening to see restaurant food deliveries in the neighborhood and around town. Our local "news"paper devoted a page to listing and discussing the restaurants who are still pumping out food either at their door or to homes (FREE DELIVERY all over the Tri-Cities), as requested. You can bet they are getting huge tips for either service.
Surely the government can make a first-pass, crude effort at allocating the checks with the help of the IRS. Ideally, they could push a few computer buttons, identify and subtract people whose gross income is above some threshold, and send the checks to everyone else.
BTW, you can coat your god-damned unwarranted personal insults in reduced habanero sauce and shove them up your ass, Morewind. You'd be ashamed if you were a decent person and had a conscience.

We could add, just yesterday, his attack on Obama, arguing that he should be prosecuted for exercising his first amendment rights. |
