No change in water access or on any of the ramps. The subject never came up in any of the meetings with the City.

Same number of spaces. Handicapped reduced from 6 to 4 -- 3 along the fence and 1 at the restroom.

That's still two too many, but that's still two extra spaces for us!
I never understood why there are so many handicapped spaces at that lot. I've never seen more than two occupied at a time. Usually, they all sit empty, while folks schlep their gear a half mile to the launch.
Does Dmitry still have his spot next to the cargo container?

Wow that looks nice. Does anyone have a photo of what it looked like in the '80s?
Long ago there wasn't any legal access at all. To sail you had to get your gear and yourself over a chain-link fence and rig in the weeds. (South of the current launch. Not too far from the bridge. Ewwww. That water was probably so toxic.)
It was epic fun though. Glass boards. Cloth sails. Taco Bell on the way home.
Have fun this spring.

Ps. Gerritt. Love your posts. I see you are as committed as ever. Go get some on the coast for me.

I think he's finding the new accommodations acceptable.

Maybe a chance to try out the new rigging "grass" with sailable frontal winds possible Xmas Eve day and Xmas Day. Hope you've all been good so Santa delivers something nice, haha.

Looks great but beware, one minor inconvenience with field turf is static electricity. After some experience of rigging on the turf you will figure out how to avoid getting it.
