|
|
I don't know about you but if you are a wave sailor you probably have several mast halves lying around unused. Over the years standards and mfg change so your left with the bastard half. I would love to swap/trade/buy to give myself some backups. The idea is to post up some pics to see if we can find a mate. Don't really want to ship so I am posting regionally being in the SF Bay area.
I have a base and a tip both 100% carbon RDM from 400cm masts the biggest difference being the ferrule is attached to the base not the tip. Measurements are in millimeters.

Skinny tops make great shaft replacements for broken SUP paddles.
Just a suggestion, for what it's worth.

The bottom half has a made in Italy sticker and may have been an older Ka brand as I got it from Windsurfdeal.com.The top has no graphics maybe Powerex before they switched to ferrule in the top section.

Makes a pretty good Digeridoo.

How about setting up a swap-within-a-swap at the Crissy swap?

Chuckle. I got some nasty looks blowing my 460 cm carbon "conch shell" at the Maui sunset years ago. Pretty much drowned out all them curved natural conchs everybody else was using.
Mixing mast halves is often a compatibility nightmare, even within a given brand in many cases. The discontinuity in bend can really mess up a foil.

That is a great idea. Make it a real swap. I can contact Jean of CFYC and see if he will put it in the advert. SDM and RDM.

I'm building a fence with all the broken mast remnants I've stashed away over the years... think about it , a carbon-fiber fence! Way cool and I don't have to worry about mating components flex paterns. Bull
