I'm not much help but many people sleep/camp up the Rogue River at the big sand bar for free. There is an RV park at Hunter Creek and Hyw. 1 in town. If you want more access to civilization you might stay in Brookings.

Indian Creek is an excellent campground where anything you leave behind is safe. Its quiet and very reasonable on price.

If you are self contained, there are a number of places you can find seclusion to park and sleep, including the dirt roads along the coast on behind the fair grounds and hotels and out by the airport and Jetty. I have never been hassled out there, but also like the shoreline spots along the Rogue. Great morning fishing before the wind comes up and plenty of firewood.

We have also driven up into the forest on logging roads with a fat salmon to cook for dinner. 10 minutes East of 101 and you are in the middle of nowheresville. There is a cool spot up high looking right down at the rock. Sweet sunset views.

RIP
