A guy in our car club had a 65. He switched axles twice.
GTO could be ordered with different factory rear axle ratios.
The outdated high torque motor didn't rev very well.
The low axles gave good o-60 if the tires stuck but weren't fun to drive or buy gas. Mostly they burned up the Wide Oval tires and didn't stick.
This was in the late sixties. The Chevelles and corvettes with small block motors dominated because they weighed less with similar horses, and revved up quickly for that era.

If a board, sail, or fin comes out with the GTO or "Goat" name I would seriously look at it.

But I'm an old guy.............. Laughing

A new Tesla "board" is much faster than any old GTO, even with tri-power fins.

I'm in the same old boat but still like to push the right peddle, (in a more responsible manner.)

Here is a better picture of the board. It has a Tuttle fin. Longer than I imagined from the picture I originally downloaded from the internet. Anyone care to take a stab at the make now?J

I might have guessed Berky, though maybe not with a tuttle and if the bottom edge is rounded under that dirt.

Looks like a worn version of the board Jim Drake holds in this picture: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2168880/Jim-Drake-Rocket-engineer-invented-Windsurfing-board-1960s-dies-aged-83.html
