Great place, the only thing it lacks is a nice safe sandy beach~

Probably the premier windsurfing wave riding spot in the world, with the possible exception of some Chilean left point breaks on the normal Southerly winds. |

Wild stuff. I'd wipeout with the first laydown and then get clobbered. Impressive skills and location. |

Can think of only a handful of spots I've been to with side offshore winds, semi steady hopefully, strong waves, and a peeling point.
PSC, but that wave is powerless and usually very flat.
Palo Marin, but only on extreme light (14-20mph) NW breezes so the winds can curl around the canyon and blow side off at RoundRock.
Abreojos, because it's basically multiple points, so wind can be side off sometime of the day at some spot, but the best spot, just S of the surfer's break, is usually too offshore for wave riding.
Limantour, it mostly side off, but needs low tides and big swells to break out in the outer reefs to get the long rides heading S.
Offshore is the worst. While playful, if a wave is in front of the one you catch, you're in for huge lulls and dying breezes, so catch the first wave of the set. |

Lots of beach breaks with sideoff winds, but it's shifty, hard to line up, has closeouts, and very seldom sailed.
HMB S swell and NW winds.
Pedro Pt.
OBSF too shifty.
Dav can get side with a slight offshore component, but seldom. |

Amazing waves and skilled rider. And I thought I was pretty good. Maybe with more time on the water. Wait. I already got 32 years in. lake Lopez never gets waves that good. We did San Carlos a few times. Not quite like that but really good. And it has a sand beach... |

Some spring in '86, I got side off winds for 4 waves at Jalama, the right breaking sandbar just North of the little stream that pours out to the sea.
It was 8:30AM when I went out, so by the time my fellow sailors dragged everything up past the rivermouth, the wind resorted to it's normal full 360 degree shift so we sailed in all wind directions within a couple of hours. |
