The first (and maybe only) mainstream windsurf movie? Stars Tom Burlinson and Nicole Kidman. Found it in a 8 movies for $4.99 bin. In classic 1986 form 😎
Can you name any others? |

It's so bad that its fantastic! We used to put this in the VCR in Hatteras on a night after a windless day. And drink. Really bad. Nicole Kidman is maybe 19 in it. _________________ Michael

I have a copy of an old windsurfing movie called Impact Zone filmed mostly at Hookipa circa 1987. This is one very worthwhile to pick up if you ever find it at a garage sale etc.. The footage and film quality is excellent for the time period - in many ways a lot better than the Go-pro stuff you see now. The one thing that strikes me when I watch this is that the use of real long harness lines and soft sails has come full circle. Everyone is sailing with super long lines and 3 batten wave sails were the norm. Go figure!
It's loaded with footage of all the old greats from back then - Naish, Waltze, Agurea, Haywood and Eskimo. Fun stuff to watch.

Watched Wind Rider a few nights back . . . Man was that bad! But fun to watch anyway. This time of year I start watching all sorts of YouTube clips of windsurfing places I'd like to try. |
