I never use either. I use neoprene cement ... a neoprene solvent that melts the neoprene so I can permanently and maybe even invisibly weld the torn or cut edges together in minutes with a simple pinch. Everything else I know of is a visible, mostly external, stiffer, patch, not an internal bond.

rubber cement is not good for what you want. I used it to mount photos on heavy paper. It doesn't make a permanent bond. As Iso says, neoprene cement is best for wet suits. Aqua seal is too hard and not real pliable like neoprene cement. |

ok....i was just curious... as they look and smell the same....but tht is about it.
I tried looking for a neoprene solvent...but only found adhesive (which is what i have been using)....
I'll just stick to what i have been using. |

Google neoprene wetsuit cement. You'll find many brands. Windsurf and diving shops carry them. Maybe you even have one of them, but are just calling it "rubber cement" instead, which is a very different product. |

And not all cements are created equal. I had a hard time finding stuff that works good. The best i found was McNett seal cement sold at Promotion Wetsuits. |
