There is a "good chance" of a marine surge in the next 24 hours. Usually I can pinpoint the arrival time more accurately than that and usually I don't insert weasel words like "good chance" to describe an marine surge event.

Very interesting Mike. What should we call that Central Cali eddy? Point Conception Eddy? Hearst Castle Eddy?

Not sure I've seen that exact eddy before.

PS: So Cal (esp. Cabrillo) has seen an unprecedented run of mid-20s wind for the past week. Atypical Maui-strength wind...nearly every day since Saturday.
