The marine surge that Mark first mentioned on Tuesday and Ben and I have been forecasting since has hit the Golden Gate and is sweeping towards the Berkeley and Pt. Isabel zone.

In the 2 videos below you can see this marine surge shooting up the coast and see the large Southern California eddy that created the marine surge.

Watch the Treasure Island and East Bay wind velocities go up as the marine surge hits.

So the Marine Surge kind of died here at Sherman Island! Is it just too early in the season to expect much of these this far inland, Mike?

Hi Windward1 and Sorenson.

Eddy will die mid day today. Just a hint of him this predawn.

The marine surge at Sherman Island did not die. As you can see in the wind graph of the last 10 hours the surge just arrived about 3 hours later than I forecast.

My forecast yesterday had the marine surge arriving at Sherman Island LATE afternoon. I should have said REALLLLLY LATE afternoon. But I was right about it howling all night.

Right now I am trying to figure out if it will really fade today.

Back to work.......
