I’ve been off-cape for several years so I don’t know what’s up with various launch sites although it sounds like the Cut is a lot more dangerous than it used to be. Is the Jackknife Cove area inside Pleasant Bay still launchable? Sharks coming that far into the bay? Looks like some northeasterlies this weekend which used to make that a fun spot. |

The "new" break has done a couple things to Pleasant Bay. The water is a bit colder. You might see a seal or two. And the tides are higher (at Jackknife it is occasionally advisable to avoid parking on the lowest parts of the parking area). Aside from that, its the same, good in NE. |

Hi
I missed this one
I'd say at least once a year, I get a fantastic session in the Bay.
Not only is Jack Knife Pt. still good, don't dismiss the Orleans boat ramp when it's a true East or SE.
Getting out through the boats is a little tricky, but once you're clear, the middle it's fine.
Warning, I'm gonna repeat myself - Skaket worked yesterday with a NNE'r
