I always wondered how fast (resp. slow) I was going so I thought I'd take my phone along with me and check out what it looked like using a GPS.
The image below shows the end result of an average mostly underpowered 2h session. Here are the things I thought were neat:
- The wave riding is done exactly right over the reef
- The sailing is actually quite evenly spread out over the reef
- My top speeds seem quite low (yes it was light and yes I'm riding a quad but still)
In contrast, these are the speeds I got today when I was much more powered. I tried to find flat areas to get some speed runs:
Next, I will compare speeds with my Freewave which seems to have a much higher top speed.
