Why are so many wind sites down? They have been down all summer. Roosevelt, Arlington, Jones, Cape Blanco, Gold Beach, Event site. etc. etc.
Hard to keep paying $170 per year for such pitiful service and support. Can someone explain the reasons behind the technical issues?
Thanks!

Hi Mulekick,
The support team does not read the forums for the entire USA so posting here will not get a response. Look for the support link on many pages to get action. And if you don't get satisfaction then mail me mikeATiwindsurf.com
Remember that the only the sensors you pay for are those with YELLOW arrows which are the property of Weatherflow.com and appear on the new iwindsurf.com and the old windalert.com. The yellow sensors we own are either near a launch site or on a Nav. Aid in the river in the sailing waters.
All the stations with WHITE arrows in windalert.com and the new iwindsurf.com are public domain sensors owned by individuals, NWS etc. We have no control over these sensors and provide to them to you free. For example the Roosevelt sensor recently failed and so far the owners have not replaced it. Most of the sensors on your list are such free public domain sensors.
Last year we installed a new sensor for the Event Site on a Nav. Aid. out on the sand bar which is much more accurate than the old one on the Northwave building. Perhaps you have not bookmarked it.
Last year we also moved the Arlington sensor to a new location closer to water level after the fire at the granary. It has been reporting data every day (see data below).
Jones Beach was moved 2 years ago and has been reporting data every day as you can see below.
Possibly you are having an issue with your browser. I would stop using the old windalert.com and move to the new iwindsurf.com at:
http://wx.iwindsurf.com/map#45.705,-121.521,10,1
Just type in your user name and password and you are good to go. Drag the map in any direction and zoom in for detail.
Incidentally use the "Customize" in lower left corner of each page and set "map background" to Terrain. Using the map like this will along with all our sensors and the free sensors you will learn a lot about how the Gorge winds flow down the Gorge.
Mail me if you have more questions.
Mike Godsey
