windgood, unfortunately my first once cracked, that is how it took in some water. The distributor replaced it right away, and I am very happy so far with the Bamboo Wood one.
I would highly recommend spending the extra money to get the Bamboo Wood vs. the AST.
However, if you can wait, the 11.5 carbon that John mentions sounds pretty exciting.

John, question on the 11.5 carbon. I see a photo of you flying through the air on a 11.5 carbon, so I assume you own or have owned one. You mentioned you have your name on 2 of these new boards.
I know you probably work these boards harder than most. I am sorry to ask, but what happened to the one you had prior and why are you getting 2 boards instead of one? I assume carbon is very solid, so I would hope one board might last 5 to 10 years if not more, assuming no major falls in big waves.

Hi brynkaufman2,
Some misunderstanding. I thought 29.8 lbs is referred to the new bamboo wood board with fin and straps. Now I assume the bamboo wood board a couple of lbs lighter. Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion. You are correct, the new Bamboo Wood Exocet 10' weighs in at 29.8 lbs. with the straps and fin. This pretty much matches Exocet's website which says 28.43 lbs. with no foot straps.

John, the video link is not working.
Just curious, what size sail do you normally use for a wave session in around 13mph average wind?
