skyking, the Kona One centerboard is 2.5 cm at its root (base). The internal width of the centerboard slot should be 3.0 cm. The .5 cm difference allows for the mounting plates and the ability to change rotation tension. _________________ Support Your Sport. Join US Windsurfing!

SkyKing, I'm curious about why you asked your question.
Do you have a Kona One with the problem of having difficulty reversing the centerboard direction? I've been told the easiest solution to that problem is to move the centerboard to either all the way down or all the way up before moving it to less down or less up. Example: if the centerboard is most of the way down and you want to bring it part way up, first push it the rest of the way down and then bring it up. Or when it is part way up and you want to put it down further, first bring it all the way up and then push it down as desired. Both of my Kona Ones often have that problem. The above solution works for me on the fly every time. |
