Board repair supplies

I think Dan was just pointing out that you could use foam from a styrofoam cooler for the repair, with the idea being that you'd create a straight section first to fit it in. Depending on where you are, the cooler might be easier or faster to get. My first thought might have been to go to an arts & craft store. For the nose, filling the void properly (and preferably not with epoxy!) is important, but the exact density of the foam not so much. If it's a repair anywhere on the board where you'd stand, then matching EPS densities and the general structure would be much more important.

Follow up: For better or worse I used a piece of EPS foam, carbon glass and fiberglass along with a West Systems Epoxy adhesive. The Marine Products salesman said it'd work plus it was available in a much smaller quantity. Thanks for all the responses!
