Anybody know if a gopro with orange door float plus flymount (http://www.flymount.com/Shops/shop-original.html) will float? I am considering buying one.
I managed to break off a roll bar mount and was fortunate to have the orange float. Just started wondering if the float could handle the weight of the camera and flymount if for some reason it was dislodged. |

I don't think it would, but maybe you can experiment at home first in the sink or tub.
If it doesn't work, maybe you could tie to the safety leash a small fishing float or rubber duck |

do a youtube video...there is one i remember seeing of someone experimenting in a pool with floaty and various mounts. just the camera alone barely floats the camera it seems. |

I'm just using the thin leash that came with the flymount...I think you'd need a pretty good-sized float to support both the weight of the flymount and the camera, which you may not want hanging off the rig anyway. |

They seem pretty sturdy. Anyone ever had one come off?
Leash it will have to be I guess, or perhaps using two floats |
