looks like fun!
On another note any recommendations for wetsuits? Should I get a 3/2 and a hooded vest to go on top when it's cold or just a 4/3?

Yes I am moving to the country to be a lake sailor! Tioga county PA. Expect the big sail sizes to see intensive development!
Long term goal is to start a Hop farm to be followed by a Farm Brewery.

Wow. Are you leaving HSM behind, or are you going to design from PA?
As one of two all-HSM sailors in Central NY, Western PA, I'm thrilled and amazed that you're coming here. I assume your HSM address will forward, so will send you a note.
I'm probably the most widely traveled to find sailing spots around here...the biggest problem for you will be that Erie and Ontario will be a pretty long haul. I'll discuss more offline.

depends on how long in the season you want to sail.what you said will take you into early oct..then the real wind season starts.i go to 4/3 hooded fullsuit, then 5/4,then in nov.6/5/4 with corresponding booties thickness,s to match.some years like last year you can go right to jan. some years feb. theen you got it made thru spring.depends on what you want to do.if you want better wind and waves the colder months are best but we just had a stretch of 7 days of 5.0 weather on eastern lake erie pretty darn good for end of july august

My pleasure, Tom. I look forward to sailing with you and getting tips on fine tuning my GPS.
PS - Hi Joe. Haven't seen you in years. I'm the dude who had the blue SAAB and fawn-colored dog named Rusty, and used to drive up to Presque Isle from Pgh. Hopefully we'll meet up again, and say Hi to your wife Debbie.
