I'm interested in finding donated components for a onshore simulator to leave at 3rd Ave. Not sure we could leave it in the open, but we probably could leave it behind the wind over water container.
Anyone have these components to donate?
board
base
uni
mast bottom half
boom
some line to connect boom tail end to mast top |

The Cal Sailing Club in Berkeley has a lot of gear they want or can part way with. There is even some gear that could be used for that that are free to go.
I can put you in touch with them, but feel free to contact them as well:

Years ago I built a simulator and left it in the rigging area attached to the fence by a long cable. It lasted about 3 days before disappearing. I hope you have better luck than I did. |

Thanks. Hopefully they'll still be there next time I head over. I was thinking if they were stored behind the kiteboarding container, they'd probably last.
I'm surprised to hear someone would steal something cabled down. I think spray painting stuff with the 3rd AVE has helped. Those patio chairs lasted a long time. I'll see if I can put something like that together. I know I have a couple old cans of spray paint.
So I don't spray someone elses boards...can you share what models they were? |

Instead of mounting a sim rig to a board, wasn't there only a universal somehow mounted to the ground years ago ? |
