I guess tRump and I finally agree on something...
"In this new ad @OliviaTroye reveals that during a COVID task force meeting, President Trump said "Maybe this COVID thing is a good thing. I don't have to shake hands with these disgusting people." |

CB, I find your posts full off examples, inquisitiveness and a real desire to find solutions to problems. You seem like a guy who cares immensely about his surroundings and community and knows how to find answers. You deal with real world issues that effect or affect (I never know the difference) your community and it motivates you. A good guy. A guy with empathy. I can appreciate that mrgybe, through the backchannel, gave you some good advice. But...
mrgybe will never offer anything but defensiveness and scorn. He will never change or offer ideas. He is a slick, one phrase, know it all guy. He is stuck in denial. The world is flat. Technology cant solve problems, windmills will never work. Solar is no good because - duh, what if the fucking sun doesn't shine. You can offer him anecdote after anecdote on your experience, your real world issues, solar numbers, wife’s asthma and fuckhead coal rollers, but he is not concerned. He offers nothing. $1000 an acre? He has no interest in your quote. Mountain Pine beetle? He mocks. Doesn't care scientists have spent their lives studying them. The kingdom of Animalia, the phylum of Arthropoda, the class of Insects, the order of Coleoptera, the family of Curculionidae, the subfamily of Scolytinae, the genus of Dendroctonus, the species of D. Ponderosa, the 5 millimeter fucking bug that is thriving throughout Canada and the US. He just snidely casts off your experience and offers nothing but scorn for the losers everyone else is. He is the one with omnipotent knowledge. He is superior to you.
Worst of all, he see what an immoral person Trump is. He gets it. Trump is a turd and gybe knows it. He sees the lies but wont call him out. He sees the hypocritical socialist spending (Pandering) to farmers etc. The debt. I find these people the most despicable. The most immoral. The current senate if you will. LIndsey Graham. They are nothing more than obligatory votes. No individualistic ideas. They are dividers, unable to unite. Unable to bring people together. Our health care workers don't mean anything to Trump. He will do absolutely anything to win. Nothing else matters. Destroy sorting machines, sabotage the mail, whatever it takes. Kill people.
I have zero respect for anyone and I mean anyone who identifies with a character like Trump. Gybe doesn't identify with him. Why is he so hesitant to offer any constructive criticism of that despicable piece of shit. Gybe is self righteous, stubborn, set in his ways, unable to change and in serious denial. Yea he is educated, speaks well, but make no doubt, he’s an asshole. Gybe is set in his ways. He disregards the overwhelming evidence in climate change. A typical old fart closed mind. Don’t waste your time.
The forest in OBX is fucking sand. The Appalachia is a rain forest. He offers nothing. You on the other hand are exactly what America needs. A problem solver a person who is conscientious. I applaud you CB and find you working to better the world. I wish you the absolute best in your work and life. |

Well, yes.
Quote: | Robert Cardillo, former deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and ex-director of National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, spoke out against President Trump on Friday in an op-ed published in The Denver Post.
“Since I have been eligible to vote, I have never registered with a political party. I remain an independent with a history of voting for candidates I believe in — I focused on their policy and not their party,” wrote Cardillo, who served as an intelligence official for six different presidents.
“Before this election, I have never spoken out for or against a candidate for any office.
"But I can be silent no longer,” he wrote.
Cardillo said that broadly speaking he can “attest that Americans were very well served by those they elected to fill critical national security positions” with the exception of Trump.
“I have briefed him up close — and I have seen and felt the effect of his faults on our nation’s security,” Cardillo wrote. ”Out of respect for the confidential nature of Oval Office conversations, I will not provide details.
“Suffice to say that the person you see presiding over COVID-19 press conferences is the same one in the privacy of his office. He has little patience for facts or data that do not comport with his personal world view. Thus, the conversations are erratic and less than fully thoughtful.”
Cardillo said that unlike other presidents he has served under, Trump puts more weight on “the word of dictators like [Russian President] Vladimir Putin” than the U.S. intelligence community.
“Our current president bases his decisions on his instincts, and his instincts are based upon a personal value proposition — what’s in it for me?” Cardillo wrote.
The former intelligence official said that the president’s response to the coronavirus pandemic is what made him break his streak of nonpartisanship.
“We must elect a thoughtful, moral, responsible, respectful leader on Nov. 3. Our current president is not that leader,” he wrote. |

I appreciate your vote of confidence. I do find your posts compelling.
To be, completely, honest, here. I am on this forum because of posters like Mrgybe. I don't find him despicable. I save that for the coal rollers who nail my wife. I find that he causes me to think a bit more about my positions because he doesn't let anything go.
Are his posts self righteous and condescending sometimes. I suppose so. But, there are very few posters here who don't slip into that once in awhile. I do resent it when he attacks my professionalism or that of Boggsman or Coachg. Mac too; although Mac provokes him.
Since this thread is about Trump. I do find it amazing that folks, who are otherwise thoughtful just cannot see through this man or recognize how dangerous he is. I guess I have lost respect for most every Trump supporter I know. Mrgybe does defend him. But, I would be surprised if he, actually, approves of him.
I've met several posters on this forum at sailing sites. Isobars, Craig, Boggsman, Vientomas (I think). I expect when I am sailing Hatteras I may run into Mrgybe and I could see us having a beer after a session (well...I'd have a beer...he would probably have Cabernet).
When it comes down to it, I would guess many of us have more in common than we might think. |

Of course I provoke gybe. He is a shill for a deadly and dishonest industry, and is fundamentally dishonest. He’s poorly read and lazy, and nasty as the day is long. He has attacked the principals who have worked to protect public health with fake stories.
But he did make a killing in the petroleum business. |

I'm wounded I tell you, wounded! And to think I have been such a fan of Bluefish all these years. I thought he was simply wonderful in the Wizard of Oz. And to think he was only 22! I didn't care much for the green shirt though.
