This is getting ridiculous. The FBI did its job investigating the Trump campaign. So there is no a need for this "instant new line [that] Trump is soooo bad that it was justified". It's all in the head of the writer.

And mat-ty, could you explain what these lies to a judge are that you mention?

Theater of the absurd is no match for the right's writing here. And a staggering demonstration of the power of propaganda to convince people of incredible distortions of reality. If I didn't read it here, I wouldn't believe it and that it could happen to real people, in this country at this time after all that last century's history should have taught with abundant clarity.

The Steele dossier was a fabrication sold to a judge as facts by the political opposition.

The left and the never Trumpers tried to get away with the most corruppt abuse of power in history and it is all going to come back and whack them in the head.
If you don't think this was all a set up to bring down Trump you are sadly mistaken are are going to be VERY disapointed with the end results.

Dossier Claim: Russia Meddled

Revelation: The U.S. intelligence apparatus concluded that Russia interfered in 2016’s election in a report released in January 2017. Though Steele’s name is not mentioned in that report, it does back up his reporting that Russia was actively interfering in the election process.

Dossier Claim: Russia Had Dirt on Clinton and DNC

Revelation: Much of the dossier is devoted not only to Trump but to Russia’s—specifically Putin’s—distaste for former Secretary of State Clinton. “Putin motivated by fear and hatred of Hillary Clinton,” one line of the dossier reads. Another line said: “The two sides had a mutual interest in defeating Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, whom President Putin apparently both hated and feared.”

Steele later cites one source as stating Russia that was behind the leak of hacked Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails to WikiLeaks.

The U.S. intelligence community confirmed not only that Russia had tried to meddle in the election but that it was the source of the hacked DNC emails released by WikiLeaks.

Dossier Claim: Putin Was in Charge

Revelation: On the very first page of the dossier, Steele explains that the election meddling was “endorsed by Putin” and that the effort was “both supported and directed” by him. The U.S. intelligence report reached the same conclusion, writing that Putin “ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the presidential election.” According to Steele’s sources, Putin and Russia had been cultivating Trump for “at least 5 years.”

Dossier Claim: Mr. Cohen Goes to Prague

Revelation: The president’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, was accused in the dossier of meeting with “Kremlin representatives” in Prague in August 2016. Cohen has repeatedly denied traveling to the Czech capital, but McClatchy last month reported that Mueller had evidence the trip happened.

The report stated that Mueller’s team discovered proof Cohen got to Prague through Germany. The two countries are part of a number of European nations with an open borders agreement that allows undocumented travel. However, no other media outlet has been able to confirm McClatchy’s reporting.

Dossier Claim: Russian Diplomat Was a Spy

Revelation: Steele also claimed that Russia was worried a diplomat named Mikhail Kalugin was heavily involved in the meddling operation. Afraid he would be exposed, Russia pulled Kalugin out of Washington on “short notice.” Steele actually misspelled Kalugin’s name, but the U.S. government had identified Kalugin as a Russian spy, the BBC reported in March.

Dossier Claim: Page Met With Russians

Revelation: Carter Page previously denied having met with Russian government officials during his trip to Russia in July 2016, but he admitted to the meeting while speaking to the House Intelligence Committee last November. Page was a foreign policy adviser to Trump’s campaign and in June 2016 delivered a speech in Washington praising Putin. And as early as September 2016, U.S. officials were looking into Page’s contacts in Russia, Yahoo News reported.

Dossier Claim: Manafort Received Payment for Work in Ukraine

Revelation: Paul Manafort, who is facing serious charges from Mueller’s team, worked extensively in Ukraine for years before Trump hired him as campaign chairman in 2016. The longtime Washington lobbyist received $12.7 million from the political party of former pro-Russia Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych between 2007 and 2012, The New York Times reported on August 14, 2016. Manafort resigned from the campaign after that report.

Steele’s dossier states that Yanukovych and Putin met the day after the story broke, and the former made assurances to the latter that no trail could be found.

“This had been held in secret on 15 August near Volgograd, Russia, and the Western media revelations about Manafort and Ukraine had featured prominently on the agenda,” the dossier says about the meeting. “Yanukovych had confided in Putin that he did authorize and order substantial kick-back payments to Manafort as alleged but sought to reassure him that there was no document trail left behind which could provide clear evidence of this.”

In April 2017, financial records unearthed by the Associated Press confirmed that at least $1.2 million went to Manafort’s company from Ukraine.

You can’t expect Fox watchers to pay attention to facts. Always Trumpers, no crime too serious to change their minds.

Q: Does Putin prefer $82 Brent, or $42 Brent?
Once you've got that right, its pretty easy to understand the motivation...Ask Harold Hamm the same question...He was worth $4B when crude was $31/barrel, now he's worth $22B at $72.68 WTI. In 2004, Hamm, Aubrey McLendon , and many other oil billionaires funded an effort to tar John Kerry as a liar, it worked, they prospered. 2016 was similar but much broader...
Oil barons HATE Democrats. Democrats regulate, and promote oil alternatives, a nightmare for guys like Daniel Plainview....

The Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs released new emails on Monday night that allegedly show that Obama administration officials coordinated with each other to help CNN run a damaging story on President-elect Donald Trump based on salacious and unverified information contained in a politically motivated dossier financed by Trump's political enemies.

The emails, obtained by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), show that the Obama-era officials used coded language to refer to the Steele dossier. The following timeline of events and communications were in the committee's letter:

1. January 6, 2017, 9:44 a.m. FBI Chief of Staff Jim sent an email to unspecified recipients stating, "the director is coming into HQ briefly now for an update from the sensitive matter team."

2. January 6, 2017, afternoon. Director Comey met with President-elect Trump.

3. January 7, 2017. Director Comey memorialized his discussion with President-elect Trump via an email to senior FBI leadership. Director Comey wrote, "I said there was something that Clapper wanted me to speak to PE [President Elect] about alone or in a very small group." Director Comey wrote, "I then executed the sessions exactly as I had planned," and "I said media like CNN had them and were looking for a news hook."

4. January 8, 2017, 12:08 p.m. Then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe sent an email to senior FBI leadership with the subject line "Flood is coming." Mr. McCabe wrote, "CNN is close to going forward with the sensitive story... The trigger for them [CNN] is they know the material was discussed in the brief and presented in an attachment."

5. January 8, 2017, 12:55 p.m. Mr. McCabe emailed then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and then-Principal Deputy Attorney General Matthew Axelrod with the subject line "News." Mr. McCabe wrote, "Just an FYI, and as expected, it seems CNN is close to running a story about the sensitive reporting."

Two days later on January 10, 2017, CNN ran the story about the unverified and salacious allegations made in the anti-Trump dossier with BuzzFeed publishing the dossier within a couple hours of CNN's report. The Federalist's Sean Davis writes:

To date, there is no public evidence that the FBI ever investigated the leaks to media about the briefing between Trump and Comey. When asked in a recent interview by Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier, Comey scoffed at the idea that the FBI would even need to investigate the leak of a secret briefing with the incoming president.

Clapper prompting Comey to meet with Trump to inform him of the dossier and the subsequent leaks to CNN ignited much of the Russia hysteria that dominates the media's narrative today. After the media hysteria began, Comey refused to acknowledge what he had told Trump in private multiple times, that he was not under investigation.

Comey's refusal to tell the public that Trump was not under investigation led to Trump firing him. The Federalist's Mollie Hemingway writes:

Comey’s refusal to admit publicly what he kept telling people privately led to his firing.

That led to Comey leaking multiple memos in order to get a special counsel appointed out of revenge. That special counsel has utterly distracted multiple agencies and embroiled all three branches of government at the highest levels. All over a document that was secretly funded by Hillary Clinton and the DNC, contracted by a Democrat research firm with ties to the Kremlin, and authored by a shady foreign spy whose relationship with the FBI was terminated because he lied to them.

The Daily Wire reported in April that Hemingway's assertion that Comey's decision to leak his memos, some of which contained classified information, out of revenge appears to have some factual basis, as Comey told NBC's Savannah Guthrie that he had an "obvious" bias against Trump because "he fired me."

Idiot the president at the time was Obama... he went to the right wing leaders well before the election and told them of these matters and asked for them to make it public so the public would know before the election. But the right wing would not allow join in so Obama kept it secret till after the election...

daaaaaaaa after the election Obama is still president and can release anything he wants.

again trump spent the last 8 years claiming obama was not a citizen you moron, that was fake news... that was a deliberate lie to his base.

Again you can not find one fake thing in the Steele document. You can not prove one item is not accurate. Even the peeing is proven to be accurate, Trump went to a club with the russians that was a strip club/place where the acts pee. There is a photo of trump there with the russians. But again the investigation started with the Australians ambassador noting potential criminal activity with a trump person and Russia. And it turns out this person had been involved in russian top secret communications as compromised american several times. this was months-years before he joined trump, and he was warned by the FBI before joining trump and it was found again in russian secure communications that he notified the russians he was under suspicion. again why would an american notify the largest and most dangerous enemy this. you are an idiot if you can not figure it out. well that is a known fact malibu barfie who speaks, well puke exits.

Tell me shithead, on what planet is it illegal to meet with Russian. In the real world people need to break laws before a judge becomes involved.
But then again we are dealing with a group of angry scumbags who still to this day can not except the results of an election. Fabricated BS, pushed and plotted by the most corrupt government officials in history and a dishonest media.
Not going to end well for democrats, ZERO doubt about that.
