STUNNING BREAKING NEWS

.....carry on

For now.....its called the art of the deal

Trump has already gotten 3 prisoners released.....for zippo

Unlike Jump-shot who had to hand over cash and terrorist to for the same.

OMG...you are quite the Kool aid drinker...
There is no deal. North Korea is a Marxist colony run by a true despot who kills his own relatives... Kim has no incentive to stop his nuke program, its his bread and butter...
Now, we are losing leverage with China as well...Rubio is right, we are getting played....

Dude...you need to get a grip on reality. Trump made ZERO promises and said he would walk away at any time....

Trump has gotten us closer than anyone in decades but you are to juvenile to admit it...and this is far from over.

Close to what? He hasn't achieved anything yet. When he brokers a legitimate deal, I'll opine then. Until then its all bullshit...like 90% of everything he does. And the market is starting to discount his reckless zero-sum negotiating .

I knew you would divert again, its a predictable move. But I'll humor you anyway.
If the goal was to solely return the 3 hostages to the US , bravo. Other presidents have done the same, and there is always a cost.
If the goal was to meet with Kim, and start down the road of disarmament, and bringing North Korea into the 21st century, then as of right now, its a massive fail. Equal to the ZERO progress with Chinese trade.

It's amazing that you can't see the wisdom in this move, it's a far cry from the previous administration who would do anything to make a deal (Iran), just for the sake of being able to say "we made a deal".
Trump is no push-over, it was a move not only directed at NK, but China as well. It's a step in a continuing negotiation, not a door being slammed shut and locked.

We are back to square one....NOTHING done . The previous administration brought Iran to the table, and did a deal which was working in the view of many. If you disagree, that's fair.. But only someone willing to eat the peanuts out of tRump's s$!t would suggest this is a negotiating move. This is North Korea we are talking about, they have ZERO intention of giving up the one slice of leverage they have in the world.

You're obviously constipated on Obama's "peanuts", Trump is your laxative, but you refuse.

Ignorance is a way of life on the right, abetted by Fox news and conspiracy theorists to the right of Fox. Five Americans remain detained in North Korea, and a number in Iran. Previous Presidents, who didn't suffer from Trump's inferiority complex, secured their release--without making a fool of themselves by salivating at a possible meeting with Kim Jong Un. Details are here: https://www.yahoo.com/news/were-previous-us-detainees-north-korea-released-075125849.html

It is pretty amusing that those who know nothing about the Iran deal describe it as "doing anything for the sake of being able to say we made a deal", and can't see that far less of substance has been achieved with North Korea so far. But ignorance is the very objective of Fox news.

The tragedy in all of this is that the Tillerson/Trump dismantling of professional expertise at the Department of State hamstrings our ability to understand the forces on Kim Jong Un, or prepare the ground for any fruitful negotiations. Trump's laziness and volatility makes a bad situation worse. I've negotiated complicated deals in government. In general, the issues are well understood and the timing of a meeting involving the top guys put pressure on both sides to reach a compromise if they can. Then the leaders can bless it. Trump only learned to cheat, not negotiate.

that's funny....Do I think Obama was an effective foreign policy negotiator, yielding potent results? NO
Do I think tRumps daily mood swing/foreign policy shifting position strategy is productive? NO.

Do you know how many times I walked away from a deal, only to have the other party call me a month later?

I understand the tactic...I am pointing out how tRump has been loudly touting his tremendous, unbelievable, tremendous, tremendous relationship with the barbaric killer...and now nothing done. What is the goal? Lever China ? Disarm NKorea? Open an embassy in Pyongyang?
