It's an impossible issue. If schools open, even with restrictions, Some number of children (and teachers and staff) are likely to die. So, take the risk or don't open any schools until there is a vaccine. Bad news no matter which choice is made.
Anyone willing to speculate on the acceptable number of deaths, 0 or 14,000?
I am glad I don't have to make that decision. I have no grandchildren, but I do have nieces and nephews, but the parents also have choices. |

| Other countries have figured out ways to reopen schools. But then they had tamped down the raging pandemic and funded safety equipment. Not agent orange, he’s raging against the CDC recommendations. But most people are not fooled. |

On the larger scale of life in general, no, they will not, if far left control freaks like Pelosi, AOC, Omar, et.al. are elected under the guise of a Biden presidency* and supported by the likes of some of the Alinski-loving freaks we see here. Private cars? Living in the burbs, or especially even in rural communities? Windsurfing or other frivolous activities with ANY carbon footprint? Airplanes? Health care beyond the cookie cutter basics? Any form of guns for any purpose? Free speech? Unbiased "news"? Any hope of reducing racial bias? Home or land outright ownership? The opportunity to get rich by improving billions of lives (e.g., Bill Gates)? Camping out under the stars (not unless you walk there and use no synthetic gear)? Choosing for yourself how to spend whatever money YOU earn beyond basic taxes authorized by the Constitution (the rest becomes the property of Pelosi and AOC)? Having at least some limited health care, education, employment and other rights over tens of millions of people who broke in line to storm our borders?
All gone.
Exaggerations? Only slightly, and only until they gain a head of steam.
