You have to remember that Donald Trump lost the popular vote, and that was against the "worst of all candidates", Hillary Clinton. And, I don't see Trump winning into the future, especially given his nature.

| NW30, you just keep wringing your hands up to the Fall 2018 elections. And, just remember that Hillary Clinton will not be on the ballot, and arguably those on the right could be struggling in many areas. I'm thinking that Donald Trump won't be a big asset leading up to November. |

Otto Warmbier died because Obama was a coward.

Warmburgier was only released because he was dying from recent abuse because of trump they hammered him and also then made two more americans prisoners under trump.

Frankly, I don't think that justice was served by letting such a despicable man off the hook. He should have served time for his misdeeds. |

It was a misdemeanor for an octigenarian. He wasn't going to serve time. |

Arpaio claimed to not understand the order, though he had a cadre of chief deputies and attorneys trying to keep him in line. Two said they took pains to explain the order to him; one did so slowly, the other reduced it to three words. Still, Arpaio responded with three words of his own, ones he would often repeat in one form or another to reporters: Nothing will change.
That persistent disregard would lead to a criminal conviction. That conviction still stands even though Arpaio was pardoned last Friday.
But Arpaio changed his tune the next year, in concert with the Maricopa County attorney at the time, Andrew Thomas, who would later be disbarred in part because of his activities in office.
The Arizona Legislature passed a statute against smuggling people. Thomas interpreted the law to apply to the people being smuggled. He said they could be charged with conspiracy.
Arpaio ran with it.
He developed a Human Smuggling Unit and sent deputies patrolling known smuggling corridors in remote areas of Maricopa County. When deputies found suspected vehicles of smuggled migrants, they would question them. If they admitted paying for the journey, his deputies would charge them with felony conspiracy.
Arpaio said he was conflicted about his office’s actions, but was compelled to make the arrests because of the law.
"I have compassion for the Mexican people," Arpaio told The Republic in May 2006. "I'm torn between compassion and doing my job as the elected sheriff.”
His office was the only agency in the state to apply that interpretation of the smuggling law. That interpretation would later be invalidated by a federal judge. |

| Bard, as I recollect, Donald Trump pardoned Arpaio before sentencing. The whole thing reeks. What about the rule of law? Again, justice wasn't served, and Arpaio should have been sentenced. Criminals should have to pay the price for what they do. |
