Scored some really fun DTL waves yesterday with PK and Hardie.
Nothing big but clean fun waves with crystal clear crisp water.
Knowing that we have a ton of GWs just makes it that much more exciting.
I am very conservative on my outside jibes!!!
I hope everyone had a great labor day!!!!
I hope the doldrums are over!!!

Sounds like a fun day. I saw the pictures of the latest stranded GW at Whitecrest Sunday. Makes you think ...
SUP'd Marconi on sat, water was really cloudy and weedy. moderately ok conditions. I wouldn't have seen a shark if it swam right under me.
A kiter was asking me about sharks on Friday. Had to tell him the only GW I have ever seen in my life was on the edge of the Chapin beach flat this past July. I was boating, high tide, 20ft deep water. 10-12ft in size.

The Kalmus Wind Machine did not wait for the tourists to leave, and kicked in good yesterday. Several hours fully powered on 4.7 and smaller. Nice crowd out on the water, too.

Hearing the airplane fly over is going to bring the Jaws music into my head.
Scary the way it's pointed right to the windsurfer.

Wait ... Was the Hardie pic photoshopped?
I was blasting on the bay in August and heard a big crash behind me. I wanted to look back to see what it was, but thought that just might increase the odds of crashing, so focused on hauling. I'm going to assume it was just a seal, in my case.

There are several mysterious factors here....
First...Evans is in Italy,,,,We have received no updates except for this (somewhat predictably....a "Shark factoid")
Second..Pretty sure it's not photoshopped....There have been multiple pics by the same plane showing sharks "In Proximity"....This is one of the best ever to answer "Would a shark be interested in a windsurfer?"
here is the link:

In it..Our man Phil violates one of the oldest rules re "Spot-naming"..but the truth really is that Marconi was a better break this past year
Is it Hardie though?....I know the board, but the sail....and...does Hardie know?....
THe big crashes/splashes are usually just seals. And yeah, I forgot to tell the Rodent and Numer-nine that I saw a fin on Friday....I blew it off as a sunfish
