Thank you for signing up for the AWT event in Hatteras! We are all looking forward to making the trip to beautiful Avon. Invite your friends to come! The more the merrier Smile

This year we will be prepared to include SUP if the wind is light for part of the time so be sure to bring your boards. Windsurfing entry includes SUP entry but if anyone wants to only join SUP, the price is $50 for the week. Contest will run Monday-Saturday condition dependent.
Here is the week's evening schedule:

Sunday, September20th: Wind-NC for opening/registration/check in: 6-8pm with beer and food.

Monday, September 21th: Open Night

Tuesday, September 22nd: Sunset SUP at Ocean Air with Cocktails

Wednesday, September 23rd : Pot Luck Dinner at AWT House in Avon. Address TBA.

Thursday, September 24th: Open night

Friday, September 25th: Closing party at Ocean Air with food, beer, prizes and awards.

The weather is great here, water warm , and the forecast for AWT is very promising.

Definitely starting to get excited around here! But please, let's not mention the forecast anymore... lest we jinx it! Shocked

Registration is here at the shop on Sunday from 6-8pm, free food and beverage, live music, and a birthday cake for Randy! Competition starts Monday morning!

Looking forward to a great week of sailing, parties, and more! Hope y'all can join us!

Awesome conditions here in Avon. Wind blew my new Chinook boom out of my pick up truck somewhere around Blow Kite to the Red Drum in Buxton. I would be grateful if anyone finds it. Thanks. Bill

Raging conditions for the AWT! Ramp 55 and Lighthouse sessions yesterday was super fun.

here is a link to photo album of Tuesday morning session on the south side at Ramp 55. the morning was a mixture of sun and a few squalls with chest hi swell and side off wind.

after the ramp 55 session we all went up to the light house for logo + action in 4.7 side shore wind. sailed till 6 pm. we are toast.
