Thinking of heading to Hardings Beach in Chatham tomorrow as wind is supposed to be WSW and them west. Have never sailed there before. I'm told it's less choppy and gusty than Kalmus or West Dennis when the wind goes west. Any thoughts on whether it's worth the extra miles?? Also, any water hazards like sand bars or huge rocks?

Im not sure where you get your info, but Hardings gets much bigger bumps than Kalmus,
No hazards except for the fish weir
BTW....you do know that there is another ron c? the original ron c? This has been a source of confusion for us lately....

Funny thing is I'm Don C, but somehow I ended up Ron C on IWindsurf and I wouldn't even begin to imagine how to change it.

I might hit Harding's this afternoon as well if I get most of my work done and it is windy enough.
Wait what now they are calling for better wind this morning. Will be keeping an eye on it.

How about 1st encounter beach midday? Hatch meter has been w in the mid 20's, with high tide around 1pm today. Probably sailable mid tide or more? Haven't been there in a while, but seems to blow pretty well on westerlies. Just have to get there while there's still water & wind. Looking more like Kalmus...

So what happened to Don C?
Showed up at 11ish? Jim H was on a 4.2 and he is a bit bigger than me so I rigged 3.7m was good for about 20 min then it backed off. Came in and Irish Jerry was heading out on a 5.0 I told him that was a good call. rigged my 4.7m and had a blast until 1:30- 2?
Nice to have some full on wind!

Don C. Had to pick something up at Inland Sea and never made it beyond West Dennis. Sailed my 4.2 on my 73 liter X-Wave. The place rocked until about 1:30 ish also.
