17-22kt afternoon Fx for Thursday (tomorrow) at Cape May.
Anyone cares to sail bayside north of the Ferry?
I've posted in another thread too that mentions Cape May, but there are more chatter in this one.
If anyone has sailed CapeMay in W-NW, would you care to share some impressions or any tips? Like, sandbars away from beach, swells, currents..
Thanks!

PS> also Sunday AM, strong S - looks like potentially great cross-on at beaches north of LBI. |

The current call for this whole weekend is Southerlies. Nothing from the West is forecast until next Monday.
I may try to get out, but it will not be Cape May. Much farther North.

bred2shred,
yes it does look like southerlies Saturday through Sunday, and the Fx maps show strongest spots from central NJ coast to North. I'm thinking somewhere along IBSP or Seaside. On Sunday Sandy Hook looks good ocean side.
What do you have in mind? |

Reviving an old thread - anyone watching the wind forecast for this Saturday 1/17/18. Could be the first nice southerly for 2018. Thinking about Sandy Hook or further south like Lavallette or Seaside. The surf will be minimal but the wind could fill in real nice. Don't know if there's open water yet on the bayside. Anyone thinking about a Saturday sesh? |

I'm thinking about sailing on Saturday. According to reports from locals - NJ bays are free of ice. _________________ Andrew

The flats at Seaside 24th street are open too. Good turn out on Saturday - about 5 sailors and two kiters. Nice way to kick off 2018. |
