Blog: Yep! NW clearing winds in Oct!

Hi Gang,

It was often a weird season for many sites especially the coast and the Peninsula. The weirdness continues tomorrow since there is a very good chance we see NW clearing winds.

As you know this type of NW wind is a spring time event. And here it is 6 months early or maybe I should say 6 months late. Welcome to global weirding.

Tomorrow's NW winds will have the same issue as early spring NW clearing winds. The pressure gradient to the Central Valley and Great Basin will be weak so it will be hard to get the NW wind out at the ocean buoys to move towards the coast.

This blog shows how these NW winds evolve in the next 24 hours and why they should reach sites close to the coast as gusty upper teens to weak low 20's wind.
