COASTAL WATERS FORECAST - NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
717 PM EST WED NOV 11 2015

BRISK W WINDS WILL CONTINUE FRI AND SAT AS LOW PRES REMAINS OVER QUEBEC.

CAPE COD BAY-

.FRI...W WINDS 15 TO 20 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 KT.
.SAT...NW WINDS 20 TO 25 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 KT.

COASTAL WATERS FROM PROVINCETOWN MA TO CHATHAM MA

.SUN... BECOMING W 10 TO 15 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. SEAS AROUND 4 FT.

Still feeling the glow from last weekend, could this be another triple header??

Anyone formulating an action plan?

Too early, but I'm wondering if Kalmus might work on Friday,
CC Bay side on Saturday
and finish up with a little Sunday paddle surf. I bet the sharks that are still around will be good and hungry after several days of getting knocked around in the waves.

Friday at Kalmus may be a bit of survival sailing. GFS predicts WSW 30 mph with gusts to 40. With sunshine, it's quite possible to go even higher. High tide at noon means lots of chop. But Kennedy Slicks and Egg Island are close.

There's a chance that the wind may be a bit too westerly for Kalmus. It sometimes comes in with more west than predicted, and west is no good there. To me, this looks like a better day for Hardings. I have not seen Jerry loop in a while!

Saturday looks like the perfect setup for Skaket. I may have to sail over towards First Encounter to get starboard jumps, but that's just a 5 minute run away. Tide levels look perfect around 10. See you there!

I'm thinking of a Nahant dawn patrol tomorrow morning (Friday) before work (7-9am ish).

Looking to be potentially epic with 17-30mph WSW side-off with 11 second intervals on 4ft swell and low rising tide. I'll bring a surfboard if the windsurf is too knarly. Any takers?

Been wanting to hit Nahant for years and may run down from VT. Seems like a sweet forecast. Is WSW to offshore there? And does 4 ft get pretty big?

Here's Nahant a little over a year ago on a Westerly (side-off), if I recall correctly a 3 ft swell.

Yeah, I remember that video. Looks super fun. Can't figure out if SW is too offshore though.

no cryptic message here.

More power to you guys who can handle the open seas of Horseneck with the forecasted winds.

If there is a SWS direction, Boardsurfr would you be going to the slick area shown in the picture?

3 paint peeling west wind sessions come to mind --

2 with Mr. Flaherty and 1 with Nina and Peter. Peter made me smile. As we were putting stuff away at dusk, he said "now I know why you sail here"

I like the afternoon outgoing tide versus the incoming if it's crazy strong.

If the south coast doesn't work, I'm heading to Skaket for a 2:30ish departure. by that time the water on the flats is starting to calm down.
