It turns out that at least three of the Paris terrorists were " refugees ".

If George Bush had only closed our borders to Islamic immigrants following 9/11 , we would not have spent trillions of dollars, we would not of lost thousands of our own best man, our economy would be stronger, and Trump would not be a viable option as president today.

I hope you all recall the back in 2001 I proposed that we close our borders to Islam and everyone here scoffed at me.

As is often the case, you completely miss the point. The Democrat party, from the President on down, is filled with people who will not face reality of Islamic extremism. For seven years we have heard every excuse and diversion under the sun to explain away the violence of these people. The wrongheaded comments on this forum are a symptom of that dangerous lack of understanding. Right now is precisely the time to vigorously remind everyone of the naivete of our "leaders" and their slavish supporters who have tried to sell us this nonsense in the face of tens of thousands of deaths. We need to be shouting loudly at them to focus less on their legacies and more on our safety.

The French police estimate that it takes >60 people to investigate and surveil one suspected terrorist.

You carry your gun when you go to a concert? or a soccer match? Really?

the idea that everyone at a concert would be armed is terrifying.

So the only choices are no one and everyone?

And voting accordingly. This threat and this particular tragedy are obviously largely on Obama's and the Left's back for walking away and giving ISIS free rein and a caliphate in which to freely train. And, no, that's not just my opinion; it comes from long lines of generals, spooks, ambassadors, scholars, and statesmen whose careers were in these regions of the world.

Malibu. I call BS! It takes A LOT of training to be competent to wield a weapon in a crowded environment. A LOT.

If you think even a small number of those civilians that carry have this ability, maybe you should rethink the whole idea of carrying. And, I say this in your benefit. Do not over estimate your abilities with a weapon...please!

MANY civilians with CCW are ex-military. It would take only a couple of them with combat experience to significantly curtail a bullet-spraying terrorist screaming Allahu Akbar.

One again the terrorists "got lucky" and committed their atrocities in a gun-free zone. AMAZING how that seems to happen over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

Rubio was right when he had to explain to Paul that jobs and infrastructure matter only to people not being blown up and beheaded by an enemy the left is unwilling to even NAME, let alone kill.

I don't disagree with your last comments...but I haven't seen successful policy from either party.. We had ton of intelligence before 9/11 what did the Bush admin do? Nada.. We lost 243 marines in one attack, what did Reagan do? We have two embassy's attacked, what did Clinton do? Since it's not feasible to occupy the middle east or nuke the joint , what do you suggest? Band aids don't work.

Start by admitting that there really is a world wide war on Islamic terrorism, instead of trying to fight a stupid war on the sun.
I can't believe that there really is a summit going on in France at the end of the month about global warming, what are they thinking?

But at least Al Gore's climate webcast from the Eiffel Tower got shut down yesterday, Gore has always had a bad case of timing.

It's time for Obama to start listening to his generals and not pop culture.

The notion that several people with concealed handguns could stop an attack in a crowded venue is rather far-fetched, no matter what the level of training.

First, you would need to identify the threat. Is the shooter you are looking at a terrorist, or another armed citizen reacting to the terrorist?

Second, you have to get a clear shot, with a hand gun, thru a moving crowd, at a moving target. If you miss, and you probably will, you've made yourself a target, both to the attacker and other armed citizens, who don't know that you aren't one of the terrorists.

And third, you'll probably be out-gunned by a body-armored terrorist with an assault rifle who won't be considering innocent bystanders when he fires back at you.

For the vast majority of people, concealed carry is just a self-endangering, inconvenient, stress-inducing fetish.
