My idea of heavily modified would include very stiff suspension , so take the van.
In garage 1992 Miata.
Why wish for a Cessna like that, C750 is the ticket.

nice, yes, pretty stiff suspension but really comfortable on the highway,, mountain roads, and race tracks;, FM stage 2 with full chassis bracing.
just trying to keep the plane thing a bit realistic. Sky flies a Citation X for a living, btw.

thanks for the info, will watch forecast before making final decision. I'll only be down there for 2 full days and have to do family stuff.

Ahhh, brilliant aircraft . In flight tests it flew at Mach 1.
For 2 days I would probably do the family end. Wright Brothers always a option.
Maybe compromise a/c a P180.

yah, I've already done the Wright Bros. thing a couple of times, but we'll see. Maybe some paddle boarding or something.
er
Ah, the P180, I've always loved that thing. The Ferrari of the skies, even if it's slower than most jets. There was one in the movie "Wind", if you ever saw that. Stupid movie, but at least it was about sailing (boats).

what about bay sailing at jockeys ridge or windmill point or your nags head ocean launches?
that cuts an hour drive off the trip from duck to avon....
but you would have to carry your own gear.
its always worth it to bring your gear.
the couple times ive been caught without it taught me that lesson.
