I recently bought a new old stock Fanatic Falcon Slalom TE 129. The specs say the max sail size is 9.5 but does not list a minimum. Any idea what the minimum sail size would be for this board? I'm trying to establish a range so I can plan my quiver. Thanks.

That board will go down to a 7.0 in normal water conditions. On extremely flat water you could go a little smaller, but that is not what that board was designed for.

another thought or 2.

race boards match up best with race sails. i have the exocet rs 5 it sails way better with the freespeed 7.2 than the phantom 7.5 sails. the phantom is 5cm shorter in boom length and has a softer feel than the 7,2

fins can make a huge difference in race boards' wind ranges. i use a 40 cm fin typically. when it's really windy, and holey, i use a 35 cm.

mast base positions are very critical on race boards. each cm gives a different lift performance.
