Steve Bannon May Have Committed A Felony With Super PAC Funds, Per Complaint To The FBI

Quote:
The Democratic Coalition filed a complaint with the FBI on Tuesday against Trump Chief Strategist Steven Bannon, alleging that Bannon violated a federal campaign finance law by receiving payments from a Super PAC after becoming the CEO of Trump’s campaign, which is strictly illegal. The Huffington Post broke the news:

“Over the course of the Trump campaign, Bannon was paid $950,090 by pro-Trump Super PAC, Make America Number 1, through his company Glittering Steel LLC, both before and after Bannon assumed his role as campaign CEO. [...]

According to federal campaign finance law, it is illegal for Super PACs to coordinate operations with campaigns. Additionally, there is a 120-day “cooling off” period for when Super PAC employees leave to work on the campaign their PAC was supporting to avoid any potential coordination. Steve Bannon was paid by Make America Number 1 on August 8, 2016, and then became Trump campaign CEO on August 17, 2016, directly violating the 120-day cooling off period. Additionally, Bannon was paid by the PAC after he became campaign CEO, which likely means there was coordination."

Quote:
At issue are payments of nearly $200,000 that a super PAC called Make America Number 1 made to a company tied to Bannon. On Aug. 17, Bannon left his post as chairman of Breitbart News and became the Trump campaign’s CEO. Available FEC filings show the campaign didn’t pay Bannon a salary. Larry Noble, General Counsel for the Campaign Legal Center, said he believes the super PAC covertly paid Bannon for his campaign work through his moviemaking company. Neither the super PAC nor Bannon provided a response to Noble’s comment.

In an Oct. 6 complaint to the Federal Election Commission, the Campaign Legal Center argued that Robert and Rebekah Mercer—a father-daughter duo who give generously to conservative causes and candidates—broke federal campaign laws by paying Bannon for his work so the campaign wouldn’t have to shoulder the cost. Robert Mercer is a reclusive billionaire hedge-fund manager, and his daughter oversees much of his political giving. She’s also on Trump’s transition team.

The Campaign Legal Center says the new FEC filings undergird their case against the Mercers. Those filings cover the final weeks before Election Day, up until Nov. 5, and they show that a super PAC funded largely by the Mercers—Make America Number 1—paid Bannon’s moviemaking company, Glittering Steel, $187,500 during that window of time. The super PAC cut Glittering Steel five checks from Oct. 1 to Nov. 5: one for $40,500, one for $50,000, one for $37,500, one for $34,500, and one for $25,000

gee right wing hero zimmerman calling someone a ni**er lover..... when upset... sounds like a right wing hero...

amazing how this did not make the national news front page...

George Zimmerman can't stop getting kicked out of bars in Sanford
Posted By Colin Wolf on Fri, Nov 11, 2016 at 11:10 am

Quote:
Stop me if you've heard this one before, but George Zimmerman, best known for fatally shooting unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in 2012, has done something incredibly shitty again.

According to WKMG, Zimmerman was kicked out the Corona Cigar Company in Sanford Wednesday evening, after acting belligerent and calling the bar’s manager, Angel Benitez, a "ni**er lover."

According to Benitez, she was trying to collect the group's bill, when Zimmerman snatched the credit card from her hand and began to yell, saying "I didn’t know you were a (racial expletive) lover."

When a Seminole County Sheriff's officer arrived at the scene Zimmerman claimed he was assaulted by a black man.

Benitez told WKMG this wasn't the first time she's had trouble with Zimmerman and that she also wants to have him banned.

It's worth noting that this isn't even the first time Zimmerman's been kicked out of a bar this year. Last August, Zimmerman was allegedly punched in the face for bragging about killing Trayvon Martin at Gator's Riverside Grille.

Correction: The Corona Cigar Company location is actually in neighboring Lake Mary, not Sanford. But still, come on...

geee look what right wing corporations claimed that a new drug Oxicontin was safe to the public. when they knew it was not... they lied... to make money, say it ain't so. hundreds of thousands have died. they need to be tried on crimes against humanity... causing families hardship no one can imagine. Costing probably trillions in damages to family lives and society.

oh thats right we need less regulations on companies.

Quote:
WASHINGTON ― In 1996, Purdue Pharma introduced a new painkiller it said carried a low risk of abuse or addiction. It called the drug “OxyContin.”

In reality, of course, OxyContin was extremely addictive — and Purdue knew it. A decade later, three Purdue executives, and the company itself, pleaded guilty to criminal charges tied to OxyContin’s marketing and agreed to pay more than $600 million in fines.

But the executives dodged prison time, and the prosecution did little to slow the rise of opioid use. The pharmaceutical industry had spent the past 10 years and billions of dollars pushing the medical community to ramp up the use of OxyContin and other opioids. By 2013, the number of annual opioid prescriptions, including short term and multiple, had nearly tripled, topping 200 million — in a country of just over 300 million people.

Use of OxyContin and other opioids grew to crisis levels. As federal and state governments cracked down on doctors who dispensed pills and prescriptions indiscriminately, users turned to heroin instead: Four out of five new heroin users started out by abusing prescription painkillers. The results have devastated and overwhelmed first responders and an ill-equipped and ideologically hidebound treatment system. From 2010 to 2012, heroin overdose rates doubled in 28 states, according to a 2014 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report. In 2014, more than 28,000 Americans died of opioid overdoses, an all-time high, according to the agency. There’s no reason to think the death rate has slowed since then.

Trump treasury pick's bank foreclosed on senior who owed 27 cents

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-treasury-picks-bank-foreclosed-on-senior-who-owed-27-cents/ar-AAl2lxz?ocid=spartandhp

Quote:
A bank owned by Steven Mnuchin, Donald Trump's Treasury secretary nominee, foreclosed on a 90-year-old Florida woman who owed 27 cents, reports revealed Thursday.
The practices of OneWest Bank have received renewed scrutiny since the Republican president-elect announced the onetime Goldman Sachs banker as his pick Wednesday. Over 36,000 foreclosures followed Mnuchin and partners’ purchase of failed bank IndyMac in 2009, according to the California Reinvestment Coalition.
“In essence what they did is they bought a foreclosure machine,” Kevin Stein, the housing advocacy group's deputy director, told National Public Radio.
An 86-year-old California man told the radio station that OneWest refused to modify the home equity loan on him and his wife’s longtime home even though they qualified three times for a government-backed modification. The bank sold their home of 50 years in 2011.
Outcry over OneWest's foreclosures drew over 100 sign-waving and chanting protesters to Mnuchin’s $26 million family mansion in Bel Air that year. He later said he had been subjected to “public ire” in a divorce filing asking that the address be kept completely private.
The Florida woman, Ossie Lofton, found herself facing a foreclosure by OneWest in 2014 after confusion about payments on her reverse mortgage, according to court papers obtained by Politico. Lofton sent a check for $423 in response to a bill for $423.30, the documents showed.
The OneWest subsidiary responded by billing the Lakeland resident for $0.30, but Lofton sent a check back for only $0.03. A nonprofit firm called Florida Rural Legal Services challenged the foreclosure in Polk County Circuit Court in October, Lofton’s lawyers told Politico.
“I don’t know that they’re the worst, but I certainly think it’s criminal the way these servicers are treating elderly homeowners,” attorney Lynn Drysdale said.
Representatives for Trump’s transition team and the bank that acquired OneWest last year, CIT Bank, didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment Thursday night.

Ohio state senator behind the extreme abortion ban was investigated for domestic violence in 2011

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/12/7/1608318/-Ohio-state-senator-behind-the-extreme-abortion-ban-was-investigated-for-domestic-violence-in-2011

Quote:

In less time than a woman has to wait to have an abortion after seeing a doctor in Ohio, Republicans rammed through a surprise bill that is one of the most extreme in the nation, banning abortions as soon as a heartbeat is detected, which can happen at six weeks into pregnancy.

The author of the bill is, of course, a conservative male member of the Ohio legislature, state Sen. Kris Jordan. Instead of helping create jobs in Ohio, bolstering public education, addressing the crippling opiate epidemic that an estimated 200,000 Ohioans suffer from every day, Kris Jordan and the Republican-led legislature are uber-focused on regulating women’s bodies. Again.

Jordan found himself in trouble in 2011 when his wife called the police to report a domestic violence situation in their home. She told police she normally called her parents when the situation escalated, but they were out of town at the time. The Columbus Dispatch has details of the audio recorded by a police officer's dash cam:

“She got a little upset,” Sen. Jordan told a deputy on the recording. “Girls do that.”

The 34-year-old senator went on to say the incident was “90 percent emotion.”
So, it was 10% physical? How physical does it have to get before it crosses over into unacceptable territory? Melissa Jordan also told the deputy his behavior that night was not the least bit unusual:

She also was recorded as saying violent incidents with her husband began about two years ago, sometimes after he had been drinking. She said her husband had been drinking that night but not to excess.

“This is not new,” Mrs. Jordan, 31, said. “He’s done this numerous times, and I just got sick of it and I just had to call.”

She also told deputies there were 10 to 15 unloaded guns in the house.
Prosecutors did not move forward with charges after Melissa Jordan pleaded with them to drop the case. But is it any wonder a man like this is so hellbent on pushing forward with a bill designed to punish women? Hell to the NO. Can you imagine the temper tantrum he’d be throwing if we tried to legislate his penis guns? He’s Exhibit A why we need to recruit more women to run for office. Time to run these abusive clowns out of government

finally as I have said this is just disgusting and such an example of right wing military stupidity. This is a general that put out fake news stories and wants to be in the government again.. Do we want idiots on the right to be this stupid. again this guy was a general. He should lose his pension for aiding and the enemy his entire career. Like Isso. Being this stupid is aiding the enemy..

again him and having his also stupid son work for him in a public space when his son supports a guy shooting up a pizza place because he and his father believe hillary was using that pizza place for child abuse. You right wingers are as dumb as dumb is.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/12/8/1608651/-Gen-Barry-McCaffrey-withdraws-support-of-Trump-National-Security-Advisor-calls-for-investigation

Quote:
General Barry McCaffrey tells NBC News that he was initially supportive of Donald Trump’s decision to name Lt. General Michael Flynn as his national security advisor. But, a closer look at Flynn’s social media use shows that he sent out at least 16 different fake (propaganda) news stories via social media and General McCaffrey pulled no punches, bluntly calling the tweets and stories “demented.”

The Trump transition team is also rightly getting criticism for allowing Lt. General Flynn’s son, Michael G. Flynn, to not only take part in the transition team, but to seek out security clearance for him when his own social media has shown him to be prolifically disseminating utterly false and outrageous politically motivated news. (You can watch a smarmy Mike Pence evade Jake Tapper's pointed questions about Flynn, Jr.'s security clearance six different times by clicking here.) One of those fake stories prompted a man to walk into a pizza place and fire his high-powered gun to personally “investigate” the child sex trafficking ring run by Hillary Clinton that Flynn was tweeting about to his followers. Which, of course, wasn’t happening.

General Barry McCaffrey went on to say that “we need to aggressively examine what was going on” with Lt. General Michael Flynn and his son. Hear, hear!

In short, Lt. General Flynn’s outrageous peddling of fake news and/or propaganda should be disqualifying. Period. End story.

gee right wing fake news site alex Jones... this is a site Trump trumps...

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/12/7/1608395/-Woman-arrested-for-threatening-Sandy-Hook-victim-s-parents-she-thinks-Sandy-Hook-wasn-t-real

Woman arrested for threatening Sandy Hook victim's parents—she thinks Sandy Hook wasn't real

Quote:
Next week will be the fourth anniversary of the profoundly tragic school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Lucy Richards, a 57-year-old Florida woman, has been arrested on charges that she threatened Len Pozner, the father of a child who was killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012. Mr. Pozner now lives in South Florida. Lucy Richards is a Sandy Hook “Truther.” These are people that believe some amorphous (usually ending with a cabal of Jewish bankers in some bunker somewhere controlling everything) conspiracy that has created “false flag” operations that faked the Sandy Hook shooting.

Richards is accused of telling the parent “you gonna die, death is coming to you real soon," according to federal court documents. The statements were made in January. She also wrote, "Look behind you it's death," according to the documents.

[...]

Pozner addressed Richards' arrest in a statement.

"We are comforted to know that the system is working to protect the victims of violent crime from re-victimization by potentially violent Hoaxers," Pozner said.
This video reportedly contains the audio of some of Ms. Richards’ phone threats to Pozner—WARNING: super crazy racist and homophobic and transphobic and anti-Semitic and all around terrible language.

And here you can watch piece of shit Alex Jones, less than a month ago, fanning the fires of the Sandy Hook conspiracy theory while pretending to say he’s just “asking questions.” To put it quickly into perspective, every time a theory is put out by “truthers,” it is usually handily debunked. But people like Jones just continue to move the posts around, all while saying something is fishy (and asking for some of that good old conspiracy money). Jones shares a bit of recent “smoking gun” evidence in the video below. According to the “waybackmachine”—the “internet archive” website that scans various webpages and records them for prosperity—Sandy Hook Elementary School had no activity on their computers between 2008-2012. This, in many “truthers’” minds, proves that the school was not a working school and so there were never even children in the building! Unfortunately, the “waybackmachine” doesn’t record whether websites are active, it either scans them over the years or doesn’t. All that this evidence means is that the internet archive didn’t record that site for a few years—it’s a big internet.

turns out the right wing now consider Putin a hero to the right wingers for interferreing in the election... Why else would there be a change.

Putin was despised until he won the election for trump. Now he is a hero to right wingers..

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/12/republicans-suddenly-love-vladimir-putin.html

Republicans Suddenly Love Vladimir Putin

When Americans were asked their opinion of Vladimir Putin in July of 2014, Republicans hated the guy more than Democrats did. The Russian president’s net favorability (the percentage who view him favorably minus the percentage who view him unfavorably) was -66 among Republicans three summers ago. Now that number is -10.

Texas electors face threats for defecting: ‘Vote for Trump or we rape your wife and daughters’

Quote:
ormer Texas elector said this week that he and others had faced threats for refusing to cast their votes for President-elect Donald Trump.

After the election last month, Art Sisneros announced that he was resigning as an elector because he did not think Trump was “biblically qualified” to be president.

Sisneros revealed in an interview published by Texas Monthly on Tuesday that Christopher Suprun, an elector who lives in Dallas, faced violent threats after he said that he would cast his vote for “an honorable and qualified man or woman such as Gov. John Kasich of Ohio.”

According to Sisneros, Suprun asked him to share one of the threats in a Facebook post earlier this month.

“You vote for Trump or we rape your wife and daughters with a knife before we kill you. Do as told or face consequences,” the threat warned.

Report Advertisement
“[H]e asked us to share that,” Sisneros explained. “He’s getting a lot of ugly stuff, as did I.”

Sisneros said that while left-leaning groups and so-called Hamilton Electors were diplomatic in their attempts to influence his electoral vote, “the Trump supporters and the people on the right thought that I absolutely had to vote for Trump, and to do otherwise was some kind of treasonous act.”

“They were far more aggressive and far more nasty,” he observed. “I received a lot of threats. I just didn’t think it would do any good to share them or make a big deal out of them. There were several nasty ones—to vote for Trump, or else. Some of them were pretty vague like, ‘We’re going to hunt you down,’ that kind of stuff. Some were like, ‘We’re going to find out where you work and come after you.'”
