Hi I'm interested in visiting Puerto Rico in December and need advice on where to stay , rent and sail. I'm not a wave surfer and prefer conditions like Bonaire, bay sailing at the outer banks of North Carolina and Florida Gulf of Mexico.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

PR is not great for rentals, especially newer ws gear, so bring your own.
Kitesurfing is still king, but lessons only.
NW shore is wave sailing only, secluded beaches, lots if rocky beaches, and tons of surfers.
You'll need gear, car, available drive time, and a sense of adventure.
There is a windsurf crowd at Punta Las Maria's just E of San Juan, sorta crowded on windy weekends, but ThresPalmas went out of business a couple years ago.
Planing winds about 3-4 days a week.

What dllee said, bring your own gear. Lots of non wave sailors sailing inside the reef at Punta Las Marias. Launch is on link below. Not a lot of parking nearby, most people double park to unload their gear, then go and find street parking.

The south side of Puerto Rico is very popular for flat water sailing

We go to PR every mid Dec to mid Jan.
Located at Fajardo, flat water sailing for 1/4 mile, then out into ocean swells...mid Atlantic. Mostly we stay inside.
If you do go, look us up on this forum. Have 100 and 118 liter boards, 5-6.5 sails, good for 15-22 mph winds.
We surf, windsurf, and wing maybe half the days there.
