Wow does Warren even smack down trump in the polls. And this is Florida...

I am more than willing to bet the independents that back Bernie will not go for the green or trump like they did to Hillary. They probably would to Biden though.

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/6/18/1865629/-Quinnipiac-Poll-Trump-Losing-Florida-to-Warren-Sanders-and-Biden?utm_campaign=trending

poll.qu.edu/…

A Quinnipiac University poll released today shows all Democratic candidates lead Donald Trump or are in a statistical dead heat in the swing state of Florida.
Quote:

Joe Biden 50% Trump 41%
Bernie Sanders 48%, Trump 42%
Elizabeth Warren 47%, Trump 43%
Beto O’Rourke 45%, Trump 44%
Pete Buttigieg 44%, Trump 43%
Kamala Harris 45%, Trump 44%
Among Independent Florida voters, Sanders does the best, winning that group by 17% (51%-34%). But all the Democratic candidates beat Trump by at least 6% among Independents.

Quinnipiac follows other polls that show Trump in trouble in many battleground states. A leaked internal Republican poll from March showed Trump ahead in only 2 of 17 battleground states surveyed.

finally someone who gets it.

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/8/17/1879714/-Scholar-who-predicted-the-2018-Blue-Wave-says-that-Dem-leaders-still-don-t-understand-it-or-2020?utm_campaign=trending

Scholar who predicted the 2018 "Blue Wave" says that Dem leaders still don't understand it or 2020.

Quote:
There is an article in Salon.com and an interview with Rachel Bitecofer, assistant director of the Judy Ford Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. The full article is here: Does anyone understand the 2020 race? This scholar nailed the blue wave — here's her forecast.

If I understand her reasoning, she says that what the Dems leaders are saying why they won the House back is not correct. They did not win on healthcare and they did not win on running blue dogs in purple districts. They won because of partisan anger at Trump. Read the whole and see what you get out of it. Here are some of the key lines:

“But what made them enraged and show up is Trump Inc., the negative partisanship. I don't know why Nancy Pelosi, the DCCC or many of these moderate members are convinced that moderate Republicans crossed over and voted for them. I have the data for some of these districts and the data tells a very different, very clear story: If Republicans voted in huge numbers, they voted for Republicans.”

”In fact, not only did Democrats not get the benefit of not stirring up the Trump base — the Trump base was stirred up and showed up in huge numbers — but by not tapping into anti-Trump sentiment in their own campaign strategy, by not intentionally activating that Trump angst, they paid a price in terms of their own base turnout. It was depressed, compared to other districts.”

”The Democratic leadership — the way they’ve chosen to navigate the Trump impeachment stuff, and certainly the way they talk about their House victories and how to maintain their House majority, it tells me that they’re still living in a understanding of the data that is outdated. If you don't understand how you won, and what the concurrent political data environment is telling you, that is concerning. So I do see a lot of evidence that Democrats don't get this. I'm not sure why. “

”And because Democrats have poor electoral strategy, they’re going to compound that problem, probably by not appealing to Democrats to get them to the polls. So no matter how moderate you keep your Blue Dogs' legislation, they’re all going to get wiped out anyway. So use your power where you have it. No. 2, there are ways to keep them in office, but the ways they’re choosing are not the ways to do it. “

Pretty big stuff, and you will have to go to the article to get the full context. Fundamentally she is saying Dems lose by trying to not be too lefty and placate the right. Sound familiar?

The war on the environment will not play well for Der Fuhrer:

In the Environmental Protection Agency's final comments to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers over the Pebble mine project in Alaska, political appointees removed recommendations from EPA scientists that the agency ask the Corps for a new environmental review of the project, according to sources. Legal experts suspect a new review of the mining effort could take at least six months, possibly pushing a decision over the Pebble project into the next administration. (E&E News)

"China are the worst polluters on earth nitwit..."

China is also the most populous country with 1.39 billion people. Adjusted for population the U.S is far worse. CO2 emissions from fossil fuels per person USA = 16.2 metric tons. China = 7.1 metric tons.

China at least recognizes the problem and is trying to do something about the problem unlike Trump, who as we all know lives in denial.
