maybe, they figure we don't have any water? but we do! well, its not quite ready yet for prime time at 10% of full, but its inching up steadily, and by late May, we ought to be shed of the durned trees!

just to be clear: some of us undemanding types never quit sailing at Isabella, mud flats or no. But even though the lake volume has just about doubled since our muddy low in November 2015, we are still quite restricted at this time due to unfortunate islands in all the wrong places, plus, of course, those dreaded trees. Hi Superkraut,
I will start doing Isabella forecasts later this week! Say hi to Mike Helms for me if you see him around.
As you know the models do a poor job with Isabella so take our forecasts with skepticism. But they will be the consensus of the best the models can offer.
Thanks for all your board repair advice through the years.

thanks for the kind words, MikeG! yeah, even though I have lived near the lake now for 6 years, watched the wind like a hawk, and seen firsthand what became of my fabulotastic forecasts, I still don't have a very good batting average...
Mike Helms unfortunately is one of those who glances at our venue and finds it not worthy of his time...

That picture gives a whole new meaning to a "weed fin".

now picture in addition to those standing, a whole flotilla of weeds floating hither and yon, some having come adrift naturally, but many uprooted by the 1447 fishermen who "graced" our shores last week!
