OK, Mike. We will stop whining and acting like the spoiled brats we are!
We appreciate your advocacy.

Hi Ron,

I understand your frustration. As windsurfers we have to have that wind information. For example at my favorite site Weatherflow has been trying for over a year to get Coast Guard permission to install a sensor. Right now I have to drive almost 60 miles to get to that site and about 50% of the time when I get there and it is impossible to get to the wind. If I did not work for the company and know the reason for the delay I would be swearing at the company.

We would love to hire more repair technicians but the work load is so unpredictable that we would often be paying people to sit around. And actually some of the sensor repairs are “rocket science”

The crew, Stuart, Jeff & Rob has to be licensed for climbing 500 ft. antenna towers, accessing huge wind turbines, act as crane operators, heavy machine operators as well as experienced boat handlers. And have to be able to repair several generations of our own sensors. Many of the Hurricane Network sensors we install are solid concrete 18” in diameter and 30+ feet long and weigh tons and installing these next to a house or business takes skill. You can't hire people with all those skills on craiglist.com

Mike
