once tried an O'Brien and I echo your sentiments
you could NOT give it to me
on the other hand - every Mistral that I have tried , has been amazing
(NO Mistral dealers in North America and so, NO idea about their new stuff )
this year actually purchased a Mistral SLE303 with fin for $90 and also a Mistral Equipe II
can't wait any more #$%^&*()_
and even worse, locals are all flocking to Hatteras %^&*((
and it is blowin' - happy for them !!!

Shorter then the old school masts I have.
I'm going to have to get a new mast or something for the mistral.
I'll hopefully get on the water tomorrow! Pending wife approval.
One piece you had in that bag actually fits my fanatic Cattrack where the mast base is supposed go. So now I'm cooking up all sorts of ways to get that thing on the up and up.

Iso, it turned out to be a no go for me. But I got to spend a nice day/afternoon with my son. Wife need quiet time to grade papers for her students.
We went down to AC together to Extreme Windsurfing to get parts. I ended up getting a chinook mast! Didn't plan on it but it's way better in the size department. Planning on Thursday come hell or high water. Kids will be in school/day care.
Snowed like crazy down in AC also.

Also regarding the wife. She said she's excited to give it a go. Another reason I'm trying to have 2 long boards up and running. I would love for her to be as excited about windsurfing as we both are about skiing/snowboarding.
