You know. The more I think about it. Buying that used gear from this kid was by far the WORST WORST WORST deal I have done on Craigslist ever. And I have only myself to blame. I mean look at these sails and the GD boom doesn't even fit the sails he had. The obrien board he should have paid me to take.

I basically paid $300 for the fanatic fox... I've never felt like such a sucker.

I once talked myself into buying a new board I never used. Since then (early '80s), this sport has cost me more than 10 times the cost of my most expensive home. It's all about priorities ... and I can probably get back the cost of the home.

At least you figured out how to post a photo. I gave up after hours of trying and no one has responded to my requests for help.

Iso I'm hoping with your guidance to avoid spending that much. Or at least make better choices.

The photo thing I can help you with, now that I've torn my hair out.

1- post photo to face book
2- save the photo you posted from face book to your pc or phone or tablet, wherever you are posting from.
3- wonder why the F it was that difficult.

I think you could use some other public photo service maybe but I have no idea. I also use face book to log into my account so not sure if that is a reason why.

I don't use Facebook, and already have the photos on my desktop. The problem is that iW's photo posting instructions do not work. They just post a warning that I'm trying to upload a blank file.

No, I'm not. The pics are right there on my screen.

But at least you tried. That's more than anyone else has done, including the people asking for the pics.

Thanks.

Iso I was asking that same question 20 times. I took the photos on my phone and tried to post from there with no luck, then emailed them to myself and saved them to my tablet, no luck.
Then I saved them on my laptop and put them on my Google drive with the same result.

I don't bla,e you for not using Facebook, I deleted it
, but my grandmother liked seeing pictures of our kids and doesn't like email I guess.

Try making a private instagram account and doing the same thing?

You have a good mast. It's 460cm, so it will fit most sails between 6.0 and 8.0. Make sure the mast / luff length printed on the sail is between 460 and 460 + your mast extension. You can also use this mast for sails with a luff length less than 460 if the sail has an adjustable head.

A lesson I learned the hard way is that it may be a better long term value to buy new sails vs used. I spent $200 on a sail that looked "new" vs. my old dinosaur sail but in reality it was 10 years old and probably 90% used up. After I bought it, I noticed some small cracks and learned that sails have a finite life defined by about 300 hours of UV exposure, after which the film starts to break down and get brittle. I would have been better off buying a new sail on clearance for $500 or $600 and using it for the next 10 years. Oh well, lesson learned.

It took me a while to learn iWindsurf.com doesn't want dense, high quality photos. When it says something like no file detected it means no file detected that is small enough to be uploaded. If your photo program will send pictures as high, medium or low quality try the medium or low quality setting.

https://cnj.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=windsurfing+boom&sort=rel

Was searching for a boom on Craig's list and came across some used sails. Help either talk me out or into these. They look WAY better then what I have. And I agree that buying new would probably save me money in the long run but at $75 ish dollars and $175 for another they seem like a great deal until next season or two.
